Excuse me? What exactly is the US Congress supposed to do about media attacks on public figures?
Did you ever hear of limited government?
The First Amendment?
Hello?

1. The Bush smears are against Rove, and are junk anyway. Nothing to them. 2. Rush's McNabb smear arose because he forgot to wear two seperate hats. End of story. 2(a). Rush's drug smear, if there's anything to it, probably arose as a result of his cochlear surgery. We're in wait-and-see. 3. Arnold's grope smear, if there's anything to it, arose as a result of his succumbing to the temptations of Hollywood. We're in wait-and-see. I'd suggest not suggesting moral equivalencies. Circle whatever wagons you like, but make sure there are three or four distinct circles.

The demon(rats) are just looking for anything they can smear Bush or another conservative such as Rush Limbaugh with. They have nothing else, no foresight, no ideas, no creativity, only bad mouthing others. THAT is sad!

They have nothing else, no foresight, no ideas, no creativity, only bad mouthing others. THAT is sad!Unfortunately, it is also effective. Such tactics serve to suppress the conservative vote turnout, so that DemocRATs can win elections they otherwise wouldn't. Remember back in 2000, the revelation days before the election that Bush had a drunk driving arrest 20 years ago? It almost worked--instead of winning by 5 points as the polls had all predicted, Bush won in a statistically even election result. In California, Bill Simon lost the gubernatorial race at least in part because of some lawsuits against his company, which were suspiciously filed weeks before the election, and which were tossed out as baseless right after the election. Until all conservatives recognize these tactics for what they are, they will cost us elections.
DemocRATs do not spread dirt because they want to warn people about the shady characters of their opponents; their own characters are usually far worse than their opponents', yet they see no need for us to know THOSE details. Nope, they spread dirt to discourage us from voting.

And the GOP is nowhere to be found. Hey, WH lurkers (and you know who you are) end it with the "new tone" already. You're in a gun fight here, dammit, so throw down the plastic knife and grab a gun! Hear! Hear!

Hello?
I get your point...but just see the sample letter as a kind persuasion for DeLay(and the rest of the R's) to exercise their 1st amendment rights a bit more...and a bit louder.

Well, look at it this way. All the president has to do is bomb a medicine factory located in the middle of nowhere (and based on evidence that's 25 years old) and I'm sure all this hoop-la will go away.

Right now there are separate $#!% storms going on against Bush, Rush, and Arnold.
Dissecting them seriatim: the allegations made against Bush are not directed at him, per se. There may well have been violations of law, which are being investigated. Bush has done what he could, asked people with knowledge to come forward. Let it alone for now.
The allegations against Rush are that he said something political about a quarterback, which he said. He resigned from ESPN. End of story. Also, he is alleged to be the target of an on-going investigation involving illegal drugs. This is either true or false. Let it alone for now.
Re: Arnold. He is alleged to have groped women in the past. None of whom came forward until it was time for their 15 minutes of "fame." They're hoping to exposed their aging bodies in public for big bucks. Arnold apologized for not always being a perfect gentleman in the past. Let it alone for now.

Got coordinates for a Chinese Embassy handy?
Have you noticed, nearly every thread today is about Rush, Arnold, or Wilson? We're fighting a war on terror, over 140,000 members of American families are in harm's way, and the media is obsessed with political correctness, gropings, and a Kerry donor trashing the administration. This madness does make one want to bomb something.

You know, a liberal acquantence of mine once said that one of the main differences between liberals and conservatives in the House and Senate are that the liberals will always fight to the end, using any tactic they please. Conservatives are wimps and will not fight for what they believe in.
You know, after the spending bills, the judicial nominations, etc., etc., he might have a point.
Another thing he said was liberals in general never stop, never give up. The liberal population of this country will not stop, even when they win. Winning only makes them bolder. Convervatives, when they have a win, take a breath, relax and think "Finally, the country is coming around". In other words, conservatives do not have the perseverance that liberals do.
Why do I say this? Well, I believe there is a lot of truth in this. Remember a few months back when Rush said that the Democrats are finished, over. They do not stand a chance in the next election and will lose seats in both the House and Senate? Well, he did. And I believe that made many conservatives listening happy and caused them to relax, thinking that the country was finally coming around.
When will we learn? Liberalism will never be finished. But, when you get them on the ropes, you go for the kill. You do not take a break. As far as the Senate Conservatives are concerned, they are worthless. They do not fight, they do not have passion, and are always pushed around and/or back down to the Libs. They no longer play hardball.
I will stop my rant now as lunch hour is coming to a close for me. But, the libs have had a VERY GOOD WEEK and they will not sit back and relax. This is going to get much, MUCH worse. They smell blood. They WILL go for the kill.
I have said the following line many times in the past:
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE DEPTHS TO WHICH LIBERALS WILL STOOP FOR POWER!

And the more they spread it, the more effective they are. People like us need to stand up to this nonsense every chance we get. It's spiritual warfare at its worst. The devil comes to kill and destroy and the dims are only too willing to carry his water. Cheez.

Tom Delay did a wonderful job standing up for the President a few weeks back and challenging the Democrats.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/988755/posts It was WONDERFUL.
Too bad the press ignored it.
Quit freeping a great Conservative and start writing letters to the Liberal media to clean up THEIR act.

I would love to see more public discussion on socialism. It seems that the biggest advantage of the Dems is their ability to promote socialism without being labeled as the socialists that they are.
Libertarians should help the GOP defeat the Dems until they are relegated to third party status. Then bring on the fight between the GOP and the Libertarians.

I'm afraid Rush has been hooked on those pills since he gave up booze and lost all that weight. Arnold probably did make passes at groupies, and "W" doesn't give a damn what the media says...he'll go to the people next year.
Any one know what's happened to "GOOGLE"?
