I don't remember where I saw it, but there was recently an interview of Clint Eastwood and he was certainly not a Bush supporter.

"They just need to shut up and act."

So where do you stand on Arnold Schwartzenegger running for governor of California? Or Dennis Miller for US Senate?

as far as I've seen he is not an America-basher. (Mel Gibson)

But didn't he help fried of Catro- Danny Glover- make a pile of money with those Lethal Weapon movies?

I just bought a Mel Gibson DVD. Conspiracy Theory. He stars opposite Julia Roberts. Pretty good flick actually. I'd give it a thumbs up.

If you want to go to the movies and support these traitors, go.

Thanks, I might do that.

But like I said your imagination is better than anything they can come up with.

Well, it's not like going to the movies cancels out my imagination. It's interesting to see what another's imagination comes up with on the same story. And too, some stories I see at the cinema were written specifically for the screen. It never came out as a book.

What I can do without is television. Haven't owned one in over ten years. I like going to the show though. I have a membership at the local cinema chain. I pay 10 quid a month and can watch all the movies I want. Plus, I get to jump the lines for tickets. I've already paid to see every movie the cinema decides to screen. I usually try to get my money's worth.

or the fact that rob reiner killed river pheonix.

Rob Reiner didn't kill River Phoenix. River Phoenix killed River Phoenix. Next you'll be telling me the tobacco industry is responsible for all the lung cancer and the guns industry should be sued for any gun related killings. Drew Barrymore had parents didn't she? I'd lay the blame on their laps before I'd go tilting at windmills. Blaming the big industry and not the individual is a thoroughly non-conservative point of view.

But it's seems silly to expect anyone here to know that.

No sillier than, say, presuming that you were the only one here who knew that in the first place.

One that shocked my socks off was how the ending to Hannibal was nothing at all like the book. After watching Silence of the Lambs then reading Hannibal I was sure the movie version would be great too. I couldnt believe what I saw. I understand some changes from book to movie must be made but damn, the whole ending???

You want to act, then act. You want to run, then run.

But if you're just acting, then keep your @#$%^&* mouth SHUT.

Exactly, but these hollywood nazis want to tell us how to live. They think they are Americas royalty and they should be treated better.
When aids starts to kill more people than cancer will they start banning gays? No, but second hand smoke, Oh my God. Do we ban someone with aids from ever having sex again?........

"But then, Hollywood took a book about Arabs trying to blow up the world, and changed it to Neo-Nazis..."

We need to be thankful for such favors. Next go round they are likely to change it to conservatives. And the Conservatives here will cheer since it will feature paleos, don' cha know.

Ed harris is starring in the flick. I do not care to support his career. You, of course, are free to do as you choose. The others should think twice about working with such a person again.

Isn't Ed Harris the one who said if Bush were "a real man" he would support a woman's "right" to abortion? If so, I will also not see this film. He is pond scum.

"I haven’t even been drinking, but, at all, but, you know, being a man, I’ve got to say that we’ve got this guy in the White House who thinks he is a man, you know, who projects himself as a man because he has a certain masculinity, and he's a good old boy, and he used to drink, and he knows how to shoot a gun and how to drive a pickup truck, etcetera like that. That’s not the definition of a man, God Dammit!"

I'm sure RADIO will be the subject of my first and last vanity. Let me just say for now:

Yes, Ed Harris is in this movie but so are some of the finest people you will ever meet: The real life Coach Jones and "Radio", Republican governor Mark Sanford, Summerville HS's Coach John Mckissick (holds the record for most football wins, 500+), WWII veteran Forrest Phelps and … The Game Hen.

This is a wonderful film! Adults and children can enjoy it together. It's not really a sports movie. It reminds me of "To Kill a Mockingbird". It's hard to find a movie with a Southern White Man as the good hearted hero.

Go see this movie because the characters and the original author, Gary Smith are from South Carolina, the most politically incorrect state in the union. The cast and crew spent 4 months filming in the Mayberryesque town of Walterboro, SC despite a NAACP boycott of the state.

Go see RADIO and send a message to Hollywood that this is the kind of movie we want them to make.

BTW, Ed Harris has disappointed me a few times in the past but he was a perfect gentleman in SC; hardworking, friendly, and kind under pressure.

If you still don't want to see it, I strongly urge you to find a copy of Gary Smith's "Beyond the Game". Radio's story is titled "Someone to lean on". It's truly brilliant.

I'm sorry I can't find a link to "Someone to Lean on."
It was first published in a 1996 Sports Illustrated.
