CALIFORNIA VOTERS -- Make Sure You Know the Location of Your Polling Place!
dfu | 10-6-03 | dfu

Fellow Californians, please make sure you know where you are going to vote tomorrow. My normal polling place just down the street is not being used for this election. Mine is a church several blocks away. Let's hope it is the RATS who are too stupid to know how to vote and where to vote.

Another suggestion -- wear an INS hat to the polls. If you see people scatter, you know they were there to vote illegally. Just kidding. :)

While you are at it, call your friends and make sure they vote!

You joke but I live in a republican neighborhood in a democratic city. The sites change with each election. The last time I was sent to 3 different locations and the last was at a school that had the entrance gate locked. (I just drove in thru the exit though and went in and voted anyway.

Doug thank you for all your work. I would suggest that you take a quiet break for awhile, but you're just so good at covering all the bases on this important election. Way to go and Freegards!

Thank you - I hadn't even noticed that the location had changed! Can you enlighten me on the two propositions - 53 and 54? or are they Orange County only?

Doug, I like you, but don't be disaapointed when Arnold turns out to be a horrific Governor, and you have to start writing Clinton type parody songs about his incompetence.

Last plead to do the right thing Freepers. Ignore the elite Republicrats, and vote for the real Republican, Sen. Tom (McGetitdone) McClintock.

And watch out for all those State Troopers with ESP and attack dogs that have the uncanny ability to know you're going to vote and they'll pull you off the Interstate....

I also want to add: if you didn't mail your absentee ballot, DO NOT MAIL IT, you must take it to a polling place, any polling place and hand it in.

Michael Barone, clearly not being familiar with voting in CA, said on FoxNews, that people can mail it and as long it's post marked on election day, it will be counted. NOT TRUE. It must be RECEIVED by or on election day.

If you are turning in someone else's ballot, I think both that person and you have to sign the outside of the envelope.

Don't invalidate your ballot, because you miss a signature.

I hope I don't have to write a parody for him screwing up. Saving this state is an incredible challenge.

I am voting yes on 54. Mrs. DFU and I are still talking about 53.

Good ideas. If you know someone who cannot get in to vote, take in their absentee ballot with you.

My husband is an engineer - in construction - he's been involved in bidding a number of bridges that are being retrofitted for earthquakes and says that CA needs the infrastructure money very badly. So I guess we'll be voting yes on both.

I was listening to Bill Handel this morning and he said back when Pat Brown and Ronald Reagan were governors that the budget amt. set aside for infrastructure was 20% and now it's down to 1%. So this is a request to raise it to 3% as long as the monies are available.

Mrs. DFU and I are still talking about 53

I hadn't decided about Prop 53 until I saw in Sunday's paper that our state senator, Tom Torlakson, is against. Good enough for mee - Then "Yes" it is! Actually, I'm really not sure about it. I'm not going to vote till around 6 p.m., so I still have a little time to think about it.
