And, as usual with Dems, she doesn't "get it" herself. She says it was because Davis didn't really listen..."you'd be in the room, but not really IN the room"???

Why can't Dems just admit Davis was corrupt, a liar, a cheat, and probably should be in jail for spending tax dollars almost by fiat to buy unionized goverment votes?

HELLO!

From Move on .com

Sign the petition Vote in the California Recall Election Voting is underway and the recall election looks too close to call. Please remind all your friends and family in California to vote.

Let them try.

30 of 31 attempts to recall California governors since 1911 failed to even make the ballot.

It ain't easy. Davis was that bad.

Anyone know when Bustamante is going to concede? All I heard from him was what a great victory the defeat of prop 54 is and several metric tons of appologies to the Indians.

Don't underestimate Maria Shriver. She knows all too well about the liberals and Hillary Clinton.

I have pretty much been a political junky all of my life and have kept up with the issues as much as possible.

In the early 90's there was a debate on TV about universal health care. There were businessmen representing small business and Hillary Clinton representing her side. Maria Shriver and some male news personality (I can't remember who it was) were host and hostess of the show. Jackie Kennedy had been dead probably less than 3 months at this time. In the course of debate, Hillary made this statement that I will never forget, "Not everybody can die like Jackie Kennedy". Meaning that Jackie Kennedy had private nurses around the clock and died at home with good care. The camera immediately panned Maria Shriver and she just looked away without saying a word.

To my knowledge this was not reported in the news the next day. I talked with people about it but that was all. That was probably one of the cruelist attacks that anyone could make.

Not that it means anything, but Santa Barbara County voted with a 14% margin for the recall, with all of its votes counted. It voted with a 1% margin for Gore, while the state was plus 12% for Gore. That means Santa Barbara was 11% more GOP than the state in 2000, which means the recall carries by 3%. But that assumes LA county will vote more Dem than the state in the same way as 2000, which it will not. It will be more pro recall vis a vis the state I suspect. That one county will be the pad that will make what would be a tight recall election, into something not so tight. We shall see, since the today vote in LA County has not come in. The absentee vote was split in that county, which makes the swing there from 2000 considerably more than the state swing as a whole.

Cruz's acceptance speech (whoops, he lost also) was interrupted when Arnold entered the stage somewhere else.

Whatever he had to say I'm certain could be interpreted by Gang Speech software, which I don't happen to have on my machine at this time. I recently upgraded to XP.

It was also reported that when Arnold was considering running, Katie Couric and others called Maria to try and get Arnold not to run. She got off the phone, turned to Arnold, and told him to run for Governor.
