Poor Gray...he can't even be lucky enough to get thrown out of office when Clinton was president so he could at least get some worthless federal post.

The Dems can still claim with some shred of credibility that the the FL suits were legitimate. Relying on the courts once again in this recall election would not only backfire in this instance but would call into question earlier lawsuits.

It would be a classic case of overreaching, and beautiful to watch. I only hope the Dems are stupid enough to try it.

I think the Davis Machine is going to take care of BustaMeal. He's toast witht he Dems - in the debate he admitted to (paraphrasing) 'we spent too much money.' The goes on to say he'll raise taxes. Honesty is not welcomed in that party machine.

We are overthrowing the government. LOL! You got to love it.

The most honest assesment yet. CA has taken matters into it's own hands.

Good job to the Californians.

60% of Californians belong to the vast right wing conspiracy. I can just hear the keen lamentations of the DU Dummies.

Following the recall election, violence erupted between the supporters of the newly-elected governor and the trade unions. In 2003, outgoing-governor Gray Davis, leader of the state's democratic party, organized a March on Sacramento with 26.000 followers. WHile election results were being challenged and certified, Governor Davis disolved the state legislature and set himself up as Governor-For-Life.

He immediately set out to memorialize himself with statues, such as the one pictured here.

The winning candidate, however, had other plans. Launching a solo commando raid on Governor-For-Life Davis' compound, Swartzenegger took his rightful place as the duly-elected head of state.

Davis and his wife, however, did not fare as well. Their corpses were put on public display, a rotting smelly reminder of the political party they represented.

That's the nice thing... the GOP has two candidates to celebrate if they win. Either way, McClintock gains great influence.

I'm sure that McClintock will be a good bet for the Senate next time 'round.

He should really resign. A recall election is a vote of no confidence in the government of the day and Cruz was part of it. The people don't want him to continue in office.

*CHOKE, COUGH, CHOKE!* Bustamante was not part of the Davis administration past the first couple months in the 1990's. If Bustamante called the Davis office, he was sluffed off on a secretary. The Lt. Governor has a few jobs - declaring the date of a recall, being a seat warmer in case Davis chokes, uhh.. Can't really think of what else he does.

When the numbers come out tomorrow, Bustamante will not be looking at it as a loss for himself, he'll be looking at it as just deserts for the administration who kept him out of the loop.

The "right wingers" are orchestrating a bloodless coup in California. . . LOL!

That's exactly what this is. We have overthrown the Gray Davis administration.

They just played a audio clip of Davis alleging that this is a right wing orchestrated take over.

One thing somebody needs to make sure of, is to stop Davis from shredding all the evidence of corruption.

I'm sure that a few people with scruples in the government saved some important docs.

REGARDING WHEN ARNOLD TAKES OVER:

FROM THE CALIFORNIA INSIDER, DAN WEINTRAUB

"Even if Davis loses, he stays for a while
Secretary of State Kevin Shelley said today that absentee voting so far is up more than 50 percent from last year’s election, even after a week of dead time while the federal courts put the election on hold. Shelley said 1.1 million Californians have voted already, compared to about 700,000 who had voted by this time in 2002. About 2.8 million Californians have requested absentee ballots. Shelley believes this to be a record but isn’t sure because counties haven’t kept records on this in the past.

In other news, Shelley laid out a timeline for a transition if Davis loses, and it’s going to shock some people: a new governor would probably not take office until Nov. 15, 39 days after the Oct. 7 election, and possibly as late as Nov. 25.

Shelley said the counties have 28 days to complete their official canvas of the vote, then 7 days to get Board of Supervisor sign-off. Shelley then has four days to certify the election. Finally, the winning candidate can take up to 10 days to be sworn in if he or she chooses."

If Shelly doesn't move quickly, I see a short political career for him!

Amazingly, the unthinkable appears to be helping. He's pushing the Yes on recall over the top.

I thought he'd sink himself on this one for sure, but he just might end up taking on CA's senate seat.

****It's reported that Bustamonte is offering an aircraft for Davis and him to be taken from Sacramento airport to an unknown destination in Mexico.

According to BustaMEChA, 'Mexico' could be anywhere in California ...! Or Arizona. Or Texas. Or Oregon. etc.
