Thank you for this beautiful post!

``Terri's right to life is violated by the state when the state, acting as her guardian, assumes that her wish to live without artificial sustenance is the same as her wish not to be fed at all,'' the governor's brief said. ``The fact that she is unable to give herself nourishment is not a symptom of a dying body. It is the result of severe injury and disability.''

Gov. Jeb takes a stand for Terri and for life!

Terri is dead and her parents are sick. The fight is over money not whether she is alive. Do you know how many appeals this has been through. The parents are sick. Get a "Living Will.

I am grateful that Governor Bush has issued his brief. Is he also asking to testify personally at the Oct. 10 hearing? I seemed to gather from his statement that he would like to testify. Does "testify" mean appear in person only, or does he mean merely the submission of this written brief.

Can Schiavo-Felos-Greer keep the governor's brief out of the court record?

I hope that he can reverse the decision to starve Terri, but we can be sure that Michael Schiavo will be in the governor's face on this.

It may be that the governor can do nothing else in this regard other than calling a special legislative session.

Praise God!! This is what I have been waiting for. NOW, can he do something in this situation? I would think that he can. How very well said. That is EXACTLY so right. *smiling here*
