You are horrified that half the people are below the median income.

Please try and see that there is more to live for and to work toward than what single evil there is in what is wrong with this country.

I'm not a "single issue" person. I was simply pointing out if one is going to talk about "mass graves" of some monster, then one must keep things in the context of truth. I am highly suspicious of an agenda which self righteously points the finger, when the pointer has blood on his hands.

In other words, we shouldn't do any good at all since we cannot make the world a perfect place.

That's just silly.

Would George Washington have agreed with the invasion and occupation of Iraq under false pretenses?

Would George Washington have agreed with weakening the military as Clinton did, and standing by while terrorist tear down our culture?

Iraq never invaded the USA. Nor are there WMD. Nor did Saddam have any sizeable involvement in 9/11. (Neo-cons are a twisted lot, for sure)

Two facts:
1. There are 5,000 illegal aliens per day invading our country and changing our culture, and you're worried about Iraq? LOL.
2. Saudi Arabia had direct involvement in 9/11 and continues to openly support terrorists. And you are worried about Saddam? LOL. Your arguments are shallow and lack reality.

You ask that question under false pretenses.

George Washington specifically warned against entanglements like Viet Nam and Iraq. Who is smarter, George W. or George W. Bush?

John Quincy Adams enunciated what was the Founders philosophy concerning the proper goals of American Foreign Policy when he stated,

“Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own";

Now, who has the superior foreign policy? John Q. Adams or the present administration?

Iraq has nothing (had nothing) to even come close to threatening the USA. Your argument is lacking in technical knowledge.

I was writing in general terms ... the sound arguments of 200 years ago can't necessarily always be extrapolated to the present circumstances.
