This is all a little out there.

More than a little out there for a supposedly theonomist group to be endorsing a womanizer and pro-abort. It is outright impossible.
Chanc needs to stop with the pot smoking.

More anti-conservatism from CP.

And, now, you're in direct opposition to Jim Robinson who is a supporter of the NFRA and the CRA.

To those who posed reasoned questions to his excellency, I regret to inform you that the Chancellor was suddenly called away on matters of some urgency.
He extends his regrets that he could not discuss the matter with you.

These people control the party.
They start the recall - for it to fail.
then either:
They - still controlling the party - support Arnold.
or:
Lose tons of power over night - so much that their man gets 13%
ok.............

I do not know this Chalcedon - but ALL Christians believe that Freedom is paramount to Salvation. Freedom to sin and Freedom to choose the Savior.Chalcedon would respectfully disagree with you.
No true Christian espouses anything less than Liberty.
Then you're writing off Chalcedon as a Christian group; I am loathe to do so, because I am a Catholic, and have been read out of Christianity several times.
Standing against gay marriage or gay adoption or regulating porn so that it cannot be sold to a minor is not infringement on ones personal liberty.
Chalcedon goes a good distance beyond that. Do you think that blasphemy should be punished by stoning the blasphemer to death? I sure don't--but outfits like Chalcedon do.

From my perspective the compelation you present was published to warn of the danger that Christians present to the state of California. Did I misunderstand your intention?
I don't see a danger to California or America from Christians. But there is a definite danger to all of us from Extremist Religous Fanatics using Christianity to promote their goals.

IRC, the clock was running out for a fall election, and there wasn't enough money in the recall initiative's coffers for a legal challenge to Shelley's antics until Issa showed up.
There's no doubt that Issa was instrumental in making the recal happen. The question that's been raised is did he interfere in an effort that was supposed to fail? I think that a bunch of people of all political persuasions did not want the recall to succeed because it meant that their rice bowl might get broken. The prospect of a governor being elected without passing through party-controlled primaries was extremely unnerving to folks in senior positions of both parties.
All the way to Washington, but again, reluctance to get involved isn't the same as designed to fail. I've got a problem with that premise, among others.

The CRA's influence has declined in recent years--because the grass roots had had enough of their "my way or the highway" strategy.
They're still extremely powerful in the primaries, however.
Once the recall was going, and Arnold had momentum, the party had two choices--endorse Arnold, or not endorse Arnold and hope that he wasn't the sort to hold a grudge.

I don't know if it was designed to fail--I do think that some folks in the CRA (and other places) would not have been heartbroken over its failure.
They may have wanted a Terry Schiavo ending.

I am sorry but this is BS. This guy is scared of bogey men.
People who think that blasphemy should be punished by stoning the blasphemer to death are a super minority.
This is a hit piece to discredit the Christian Right as a whole - While admitting that these groups do not believe that man should be Free to Choose - which G_d himself setup at creation. Going against the Christian G_d is generally deem - non-Christian.

I don't see a danger to California or America from ChristiansNeither did I since we are a Christian society ... or used to be.

You seemed to have skipped a question....
...advocated a nation ruled by Biblical law, a vision that assigned the death penalty for 18 sins, including murder, rape of a betrothed virgin, adultery and sodomy.
Not exactly a mainstream Christian, or even conservative Christian opinion, IMHO.
Do you agree?
To: rwfromkansas
Chanc Palpatane's hysteria is funny stuff.... So this Chalcedon doesn't exist, or CP is misrepresenting it somehow?
To: Poohbah
This is the first time I've ever heard of Chalcedon, but I get extremely uneasy when any
organized religious entity wants to exert extremely strong political influence.
Endorsements, no problem. Lobbying, I'm fine with that.
Controlling political parties, or worse, trying to run the government? That's the problem with half the world. I do not want to go down that path.
