Jesus delivered me from addiction by the power of prayer alone. I have not been tempted to use drugs since then. I am still amazed.
I think Rush needs Jesus. It's really been the one thing missing in his life. For all he's done, he always seemed to love the world more than God, and I think that led him to this trouble. The fame, money, golf tourneys, public appearance that came with his success shook the foundation he built on loose soil. He tried to fill the void with everything but Christ, including pills. It didn't work. The Lord has given him this opportunity to truly come clean, not just clear himself legally or get back to his show. If Rush never utters another political comment over the air, fine. He's done enough good for a lifetime in that regard. Now is the time for him to put all he has in His hands.
