I had the opportunity to speak to an insider about Bishop Olmstead. He is not a grandstander. That is not his way. He prefers to take care of things quietly, so I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he did attempt to take care of this out of the public eye.

And so you are willing to throw stones at the bishop based on your unfounded presumption? My pastor gets told by his bishop 1,000 times a year to knowck off his heresies, disrespect for the Eucharist, hyper-political homilies, and he gets rewarded with the largest parish in the diocese with the highest concentration of young, single adults in the United States.

We know about this because the pastor routinely eviscerates the bishop from the altar. For three straight weeks, the entire homily was a diatribe against the bishop's directive to not wash the feet of women in the Good Thursday mass -- and those weeks were Palm Sunday, Easter and Divine Mercy Sunday!
