I have a friend who is an Episcopalian priest - and as liberal as the day is long - who is a devotee of Hans Kung. Anybody this guy likes is bound to be trouble to orthodoxy.

This is all very strange, but at least the arguments are out in the open more than they used to be.

Yes, Kung's theology is arrogant and offensive. He messes with the Trinity and everything else. The Church booted him off the "encourage these theologians" list a long time ago. Supposedly, he adjusted quite well. He liked it better, because it gave it more freedom. The situation was acceptable to him. I guess his ego is acting up again.
