I am very conservative, very "moral" and do not attend church.
I was a Catholic until high school and then I went to Pepperdine University. I found that so many church-goers were complete hypocrites that I found it to be more "moral" to keep my God and Christ in my heart rather than the hoiler-than-thous who tend to shout their "superiority" from the rooftops.
"How important is church to you as a conservative? I think you can be moral and christian without church."
That is true for some people especially those whose careers keep them on long journeys away from having a permanent church to attend on a regular basis. As long as you keep the faith it's all good with Christ. And he knows who the religious hypocrites are.
