They were saved Old Testament Saints, not Church age saints.
You say there is only one body, which is correct, but then you refer to another body which is merely a "friend" of the bride?
That is not a 'body' it is a group of other believers.
Only the church is ever called a Body in the Bible and that is the mystery revealed to Paul (Eph.3)
Saved Jews of the Old Testament (and Tribulation) are friends of the bride, not the bride.(Jn.3:29) Actually, you have mis-quoted John 3:29. Here, followers of John the baptist approach him with concerns that he is being upstaged by Jesus. John's response was that he (John) is a "friend of the BrideGROOM" John is referring to himself... not others. Friends of the Bridegroom is another reference to believers.
The verse states that he that hath the bride is the Bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom which standeth and heareth, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
Now, what John the Baptist is saying is that he is neither the Bridegroom (Christ) nor the Bride since he is a friend of the Bridegroom and thus cannot be the Bride.
Who is the Bride, the Church (Eph.5).
John the Baptist is a saved Old Testament saint and not part of the church, but is a friend of the Bridegroom.
By the way... what is your denomination?
Every Old Testament saints did not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them forming a temple as do Christian believers. (1Cor.3:16)
Some Old Testament saints had the Holy Spirit dwell in them for particular purposes, but not every Old Testament saint had that gift.

I read the scofield article, and it doesn't seem to be saying all the same things you are... there's not even a section that I've found yet which defines the Body of Christ.

I would like to look at post #1421 some more. This part of the vision has not come to pass yet.
THE SECOND ANGEL:

Per the 2nd angel, according to Samuel Doctorian, there will be nuclear war. The church will be purified. The U.N. will be broken in pieces.
The THIRD ANGEL:
Quote: 'In his hand he had a scale of measurement. I saw him fly over Europe, and I heard the words, "I am grieved. I am grieved. Unrighteousness, uncleanness, ungodliness - all over Europe ... ." I saw the rivers of Europe flooding and covering millions of houses. Millions drown.
... Suddenly I heard earthquakes all over Europe. "Countries that have had no earthquakes shall be shaken," said the angel. And suddenly, in my spirit, I saw the Eiffel Tower in Paris crumbling falling down. A great part of Germany destroyed. The great city of London - destruction everywhere. I saw floods all over Scandinavia. I looked to the south and saw Spain and Portugal passing through hunger and great destruction.

The atheism in Europe, the hedonism, displeases God. His judgments against them will be through floods and earthquakes and hunger.
What about God's children? They shall be LOOKING for the appearing of the Lord. Many will cry to Him in that day and He will save them.
Luke 21:36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.
We are to WATCH AND PRAY.
Note, it's the believers who cried to the Lord for help who experience His intervention.

So, here is the 4th angel, whose sword is tremendous and sharp, saying some shall be rewarded and blessed abundantly. But there will be scorching of the sun, rivers drying up, starvation, in other parts, flooding. FOUNDATIONS SHAll be SHAKEN.
Innocent blood that's been shed will be required of the unrighteous and bloodthirsty. Earthquakes, great pieces falling from the sky, trembling of the earth like has not been seen since the creation.
And the "good news" is that the final day has come. Judgment Day is here. Good news for those of us who are covered over with the precious Blood of Jesus and therefore have forgiveness of sins, anyway.

The part about skyscrapers falling has already happened as spoken about by the FIFTH ANGEL:

As the angel poured, great destruction took place in Chile and Argentina as never before. The whole world was shaking. Then I heard the angel say," This will happen in a very short time."' End quote.
Note, His patience has come to an end. Icebergs will melt, flooded rivers. World markets collapsing. Explosions all over the north country. Mexico and Brazil covered with water. Earthquakes. Destruction in Chile and Argentina as never before.
And the 5th angel says that this will happen in a very short time. That means sooner not later. Many have an imitation of religion but will deny the real POWER of it.
America, repent, while it is yet today.

It appears that parts of this vision have come to pass. The FIRST ANGEL's message was for Asia telling of earthquakes and the sea covering the earth has come to pass. The FIFTH ANGEL's message was for North and South America told of skyscrapers falling, which has already come to pass.
Speaking for myself, makes me wonder if and when the rest will come to pass. If it's not accurate, well, some will continue as before, some will hunger and thirst for the Bread of Heaven, the living water, and they will seek and find the Lord Jesus.
If it is accurate, woe to all who have not called on the Name of the Lord.

!COULD! mean that the duration of the unfolding will be quick vs happening soon. Of course, it could be both.

Hi Bennett46, though I am running a week behind, wanted to thank you for your post #1449 where you said there was a news segment in central Florida addressing whether or not we are in the End Times.
Interesting topic for local news. Lots of folks are wondering.
I pray good seed was planted by that and those seeds would be watered, germinate, and grow to become good fruit in the lives of those who saw that segment.

Regarding post #1450,
It is consistent with other dreams, visions, and prophecies as far as major disruptions coming, an event. Some of it brings nuclear fallout to mind.
I am touched by its reminder of the Lord's faithfulness to the little and helpless creatures,
'"The smallest of what lives is precious in My sight ... ."'
And, I note that this too points to immediacy:
'"The angels have their instruction from east to west, and now a timetable has been set in motion."'
I will be watching for the huge light.
There may be other FReepers who have had significant dreams recently. If there are, and they're not comfy posting themselves, maybe they could forward them to you, Qx, like this FReeper did.
I believe this dream could certainly be from the Lord and may be meant for others in addition to the one who had it. Anyway, I see this as a valid dream.
