Again, apologies to new Traditional Anglican ping list members. The list did not make it home from work in e-mail yesterday. I hope to have the matter corrected later today.

Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams.

FReepmail me if you want on or off this list.

Re: "The celebration of Thanksgiving is, I think, for faithful Anglicans a difficulty. To remember with fondness those nasty schismatic heretics called Puritans is problematic for me"

I have a solution for you to remember next year. The first Thanksgiving did not take place in Mass lead by the Pilgrims but instead in Virginia lead my the Anglicans some years earlier. The Civil War and hostile Yankee historians have done a good job of covering that fact up. The location of the first Thanksgiving was a settlement who's name escapes me but it is the site of a famous Plantation named Berkley built by the Harrison family (Harrison as in both Presidents by that name)

That is unless an earlier Thanksgiving was offered by the two Catholic Spanish missions in Virginia such as San Miguel de Guandape or Axacan. But that information is rarely taught in the public school systems either.
