Yup.
And a lot more than ironic. Don't think there's a word for it besides some in the direction of it . . .
treason; hypocrisy; evil etc.
Quix, It is interesting. I've read seven is supposed to be the number of perfection, so it makes sense. I got into trouble over in the Catholic thread and haven't been able to concentrate much on religion as such for a while.
I understand.
The religion threads on FR seem to be plagued with fierce ideologues who have more fierceness than righteousness and sometimes more fierceness than logic or Biblical understanding.
Then there are those who are so rabidly rigid and fierce about things which the Bible is either fuzzy or on both sides of . . .
Sigh.
Anyway--SOME of us still like to dialogue about spiritual issues. We can IF we are willing to ignore the rabid naysayers and such ilk.
Blessings,
In other words, All Louisana Baptist University is a diploma mill? Is Philadelphia college of the bible the same way?
It does begin to describe Harvard.
Sadly so.
Can you imagine the application of God Almighty of the
TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS REQUIRED
principle, law
to the Harvard types and other puppet master types! Wow!
They would be jumping off the buildings.
Philadelphia College of Bible is now known as Philadelphia Biblical University. It's been around much longer than Lousiana Baptist University. It was the result of a merger of two institutions in the 1950 that grew out of the Bible college movement of the late 1800s. C.I. Scofield was a founder of one of the original schools. That should tell you something of their theologcal distinctives.
And unlike LBU, it is accredited by several agencies.
Just a note that, to the best of my knowledge, Grant Jeffrey never received any degree from PCB. His bio merely says that he studied there.
C.I. Scofield, Isn't he the author fo the Scofield Bible ?
