I feel a sudden need to put on liturgical dancewear and flutter in gauze under a moonlit sky.
:-D
When the moon is in the 7th house, and jupiter aligns with mars...
Marilyn McCoo and the 5th Dimension right? Or would it be the 5th Sunday in Aquarius Time?
If you follow the link from the thread, for this New Age nonsense "prayer" from Levada's website for the Diocese of San Francisco, you will note that they changed the prayer to that of the Prayer of Saint Francis, but fogot to completely cover their tracks by failing to rename the link itself:

What a said day in the early pontificate of a man in whom many of us placed great hopes.
Freudian slip? Make that "FORgot."
I'm just thinking of "the Most Rev. Joseph Fessio, Archbishop of San Francisco" -- yes, a thought based on nothing, but Levada raised high is the serpent in the Tree in my book, so I need something to hopeful to think about.
I remember seeing that a few months ago.
I used to be a Wiccan, the invocation to the four winds is straight from modern Wiccan writers like Starhawk and Scott Cunningham, it's part of the drawing of a sacred circle. You are inviting the spirits of the elements to attend your ritual .
It's not "sorta" pagan or a misunderstanding, you could find this exact wording the "New Age" section of any bookstore.
It's hardcore, fully pagan.
LOL
I was on the fringes of the goddess movement in the Bay area over 10 years ago (much of it within the Church) during my N.O. days before I discovered Traditional Catholicism.
Starhawk is a fixture in the Bay area. She teaches at a couple of the colleges. I think she is based in Marin county?
Of course. He is the consummate politician. A chameleon as he needs to be. This guy is potentially more dangerous than Mahony.
It's so fascinating to read people's conversion/reversion stories. Thanks for sharing. :-) I think most of us have such points in their lives. I know I've had mine.
Doesn't (or didn't) Starhawk teach at the Franciscan Seminary in Berkeley? I seem to recall an abomination like that in the last dozen years.
Wiccan to a Catholic monarchist? Wow you've come a long way! God's grace is awesome!
discouraged bumpus ad summum
The more I think about it that could be true. I'll do some research.
I know the Jesuit school is riddled with homosexuals, liberation theology and social justice. The priest director of the school gave my conservative N.O. nun friend a very difficult time when she got her Master's.
Boundless
I think all of us who ever knew anything about wicca knew exactly what was going on.
There is too much wicca playing around in certain "Catholic" groups, often by consecrated women...I keep discovering these awful wiccan prayers on line that nuns have written....
Makes me truly sad.
St. Faustina talks about how Jesus discussed how badly those consecrated to Christ were treating him...and it's even worse now.
Most Holy Trinity - Father, Son, Holy Spirit - I adore You profoundly and offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the earth, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He Himself is offended. And by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and those of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners. Amen.
I'm not convinced that it's entirely all that benign either, seeing it as a group of misguided sinners doing something to "broaden their horizons" (or whatever) as opposed to actually to the deed of whomever their supreme being is
(my hunch it is not God as The Holy Trinity).
Especially where it's originating. There's just too much of it going around in these little Catholic "sects" springing about.
I think if we see the same type of stuff coming from a batch of nuns (or whoever) in the L.A. area...Califorina is past past done.
If CA is so concerned over illegal immigration now, they might not haven't seen anything yet.
As a person who left the neopagan world behind because I saw the hand of God manifest most in the Church, I don't think it's benign at all.
There are a lot of groups playing with this stuff, especially women infected by the bad side of the feminist movement. It's happening in catholic circles, lutheran circles, episcopal circles, and who knows where else.
I am sure the dark one is enjoying the show....
