Right back at'cha Oh Great Prophet "Charlie". Oh and it's not "I laugh at you", it's, "I laugh in your general direction".
FROM ST MALACHI:
9. The Glory of the Olive. The Order of St. Benedict has said this Pope will come from their order. It is interesting that Jesus gave his apocalyptic prophecy about the end of time from the Mount of Olives. This Pope will reign during the beginning of the tribulation Jesus spoke of. The 111th prophesy is "Gloria Olivae" (The Glory of the Olive). The Order of Saint Benedict has claimed that this pope will come from their ranks. Saint Benedict himself prophesied that before the end of the world his Order, known also as the Olivetans, will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its fight against evil.
From CNN TODAY:
Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany, the church's leading hard-liner, was elected the new pope Tuesday evening in the first conclave of the new millennium. He chose the name Pope Benedict XVI and called himself "a simple, humble worker."
If this isn't it, I don't know what it is, kids...
This has to be the most obvious of all the predictions of Malachy's. God Bless him and his role as our new Pope.
This is nonseense. The Olivetan congregation was one among many reform Benedictine groups of the later Middle Ages, founded in Italy. It takes its name from "Monte Oliveto." Dozens of Benedictine groupings have been founded since. The Olivetans no more = Benedictines than the Kansas City Chiefs = professional football or the Church of Sweden = Protestants. Congregations of Benedictine monasteries(The Swiss Congregation, the Bavarian Congregation, the Subiaco Congregation) themselves, of which the Olivetans are one of the earlier ones, only came along 1000 years after Benedict wrote his rule. Until the congregations emerged in the late Middle Ages, each Benedictine house was autonomous. The house of Cluny (founded 910) resembled the later congregation in some ways, but in fact was a single house with many dependent daughter-houses. In this light, the Olivetan congregation is a tiny drop on the ocean of Benedictine monasticism.
To identify the Malachy prophecy (itself a 17th-century forgery) and it's use of "Olive" with the Olivetan congregation, is mere word association.
To identify "Benedictine" with Olivetan is more mere word association nonsense. To then associate Benedict XVI with "Benedictine monks" in general--that's three absurd leaps by mere word association in a row.
Astrology, clarivoyants etc. all depend on leaps like this--if you try hard enough, you can connect just about anything with anything.
The prophcy of Malachy will have to be stretched every which way but up to make it fit our new German Pope.
So much for prophets. They're right about half the time.
Karol Józef Wojty³a , known as John Paul II since his October 1978 election to the papacy, was born in Wadowice, a small city 50 kilometres from Cracow, on May 18, 1920.

Do you mean Briton? There was no 'England' until about 750AD or so.
"This final Pope will likely be Satan, taking the form of a man named Peter who will gain a worldwide allegiance and adoration. He will be the final antichrist which prophecy students have long foretold."
I know that others have said the same thing. But this is the post that made me sign up for the board.
I don't see where you get that from what 'Malachy' wrote. He says that Peter the Great will 'feed his flock' which is the exact opposite of what you suggest.
Also your version would directly contradict the Bible which says that the 'gates of hell shall not prevail against this Church'. We can rest assured that your interpretation is incorrect.
katzinger is benadictine.
katzinger is benadictine.
How do you know he's a Benedictine? Granted he took the name of "Benedict" which is pretty interesting, but I can't find any indication he is Benedictine.
Mine? Ii didn't say anything like that.
do you mean Ratzinger?

Peace be with you.
Of course we live in the end times. The end times began when Christ ascended into heaven. The church has waited since then for his second coming.
However, your post alludes to the feeling that people seem to be "worked up" over the thought that the end of the end times has approached. Christians should always act as if Christ is coming today, tomorrow or the next day. He said that "no man knew the day nor the hour of his arrival," just that it was close.
You think the world is going to end?
Ratzinger is not a Benedictine. He is not any sort of order priest. He has gone to Benedictine monasteries for retreats, but it is not true that he is Benedictine. He is a diocesan priest.
From his biography on the Vatican website:
In March 1977, Paul VI elected him Archbishop of Munich and Freising and on 28 May 1977 he was consecrated, the first diocesan priest after 80 years to take over the pastoral ministry of this large Bavarian diocese.

Peter was not a pope, he was an APOSTLE, the word pope is not even in the bible. In the bible the Apostles are not voted on by a 2/3 majority , they are chosen by the Lord and ascended from the 12 APOSTLES. When the leader dies, the NEXT or number 1 apostle becomes leader, and a new 12th apostle is chosen by the Lord. That is the way Christ set it up and it remains the same today ! Your only claim to the see is that Peter lived and died in Rome, so he MUST have left the keys there ! Your own literature states that the keys was TAKEN not given by Peter.
