Drew Marioni, on Relevant Radio, has spoken about this a few times.

Here's the story according to what I had heard on Relevant Radio:

Shortly after the election of Cardinal Ratzinger to Pope, six priests were involved in an exorcism in Italy. (I believe Rome itself, but cannot be sure.) After having spent over 6 hours of praying over the person who was possessed they heard a demonic voice call out that they had tried to stop the election of the Pope. the voice said, "We tried to stop it, we tried to stop it, we tried to stop the Pope from being selected." The priests, who were exhausted at this point, were all of a sudden snapped back into attention by this demonic, dark voice. They pressed further saying who's we, but didn't get an answer. They did hear however hear the voice say, "Our Lady in Blue is commanding us to tell you this. She is commanding us to tell you."

The priests have remained quiet about this except for one priest, who told of it to another, perhaps connected with ETWN.

Drew Marioni has mentioned twice on his show, and I happened to catch it both times on my way home from work.

Drew goes onto to say that the priest who divulged the story is a credible man, and would have no reason to fabricate it.

So... there you have it. I remain convinced that these type of things do take place. If we believe in God, how can we not believe in the devil, and the fight for man's soul?

I think that is why Gibson's The Passion drew so many people into the theaters. Not only is it a faithful recreation to the Passion, (IMHO) but it also brings to light the first time Satan's battle against God for the soul of each man. It is the gift of the free will that makes our life so remarkable. We have the right to choose. We do, to an extent, determine our path in life. God is there to light the way, but Satan is also there trying to blow out that light of salvation.

Off the soapbox now...

Whoa! That is a very eerie story! It doesn't sound false to me, however. Looking at how hard some very anti-Church people were campaigning for a liberal pope, it doesn't surprise me one bit.

Wow, what a fascinating story.

Oh, absolutely.
