My point in that post was surprise that the example quotes don't seem that bad... Not that he doesn't have the ~right~ to be worse if he wants.
I'm not a Catholic, I could never believe the unBuiblical things they believe, but I appreciate Bill Donahue and the Catholic League's monitoring of these things.
As far as censoring them, I don't think we can, it would be unconstitutional, but we CAN inform all the sponsors and the networks that we will cancel their channels from our cabler systems and/or not watch them or purchase any of their sponsors' products.
I just did that here where I live, in Medofrd, Oregon. A local motorcycle dealer has a vulgar commercial playing on a rock station that has two people insulting each other.
One says "My name is Stu," the other guy says "And your full name is Stu Pid Asso," but it sounds like he's saying "Your full name is 'stupid a**hole," and the other guy says "And is your name "Motherf..." at which point the commercial's announcer comes on.
I just called the motorcycle dealer and told him I don't like hearing people called "Stupid a**holes" on the radio, and I called the radio station and told them that until they take that ad off the air, I won't listen to their station anymore...and I won't.
It may not do anything, but...like Arlo Guthrie says "If three people do it, it becomes a movement."
If all Christians did this, maybe they would stop degrading our religion, beliefs and Messiah.

You probably didn't see the rest of his monologue...it was pretty bad. The part that bothered me most was his saying they slept together and then lied about it, faking the virgin birth to cover up their dalliance pre-wedding night.
Of course, they have the right to mock, we all have the right to mock, but we also have the right to boycott!
I never did get to go horse-back riding, by the way, and I hope to next summer!

Just a clarification lest anyone take this the wrong way, mistakes and horrible crimes and injustices were committed by church men not The Church. The Church is the spotless Bride of Christ.
Denis Leary (the icon of controversial comedy) isn't quite exactly Perry Como (the icon of Christmas music). If you knew anything about Denis Leary, you wouldn't be quite this shocked.
LOL!
Yeah, well, Bill Donohue gets paid to be pissed off.
Lighten up, Francis.
Chris Tucker and Chris Rock are pretty good about making fun of the neighborhoods they came from, Ice Cube made millions with his "Friday" movie trilogy that he wrote, starred in and produced. Chris Tucker was in the cast as well. It all started with Amos'n'Andy, and through the years with TV shows like "Good Times" and "The Jeffersons".
Don't worry, Princess. If you can't even spell ARGUMENT when you're showing off . . . maybe it's time to give up pretending and get back to something you ARE able to process: your cartoons.
ROFLMAO!
His fame may be even further extended. Rumor has it that studio execs have decided on a star for the remake of a certain classic horror film.
ROFLOL!!
Processing........
It is really about respect and that is the very least people can do for one another. We are talking about sacredness but it is the trend today to do whatever or say whatever simply because we want to. As far as the sex abuse case we can only hope and pray and make sure that the children are protected period. But lets be clear the Catholic church is hardly the only organization or church for that fact that has sex abuse cases against them. and believing that it is only in the Catholic church only protects the predators. And the sex abuse case was a cheap shot and that is another reason what those priest did was evil and sinful they brought more scandal on the church through people like you who want to bash the church. The entire Catholic church is just not about sex abuse there are many wonderful Christians and priest who do good things for this country and all around the world. But that is never talkled about because it is just too much fun to point out what some evil priest did to kids and the entire people in the church. Pain and suffering went all around to all of us.
