A homosexual 'marriage' case must be coming up in one of the major courts, or maybe in New York? Someone is trying to strip the Catholic Church of any credibility in the fight against it, just as it did with Cardinal Law in Boston.

Yes, there were a few priests in the Boston Archdiocese who molested kids, and in my opinion, they should have been thrown out on their a$$es when it was first found out. I have no sympathy for abusers and molesters, but at the time of the abuse, in many cases, the kids' PARENTS chose not to pursue justice for them. That was delayed until they were adults themselves, and it was long overdue.

However, I firmly believe the Boston Globe blew the story out of all proportion to the numbers of abusers involved for a reason. I believe it was done to try to keep the Church from being a strong voice against the homosexual marriage decision. The Globe certainly hasn't pursued child molesters from any other institutions with the same fervor.

I sympathize with you in your confusion and your denial but sticking our heads in the sand won't correct the situation.
You need to read Jason Berry's Lead Us Not Into Temptation.
He was a New Orleans Times-Picayune reporter assigned to what appeared to be a small molestation case in Lafayette, La., in the 1980s.
Instead, he "discovered" the nationwide cabal and unified defense strategy. The horse was out of the nationwide barn after that. The Globe had nothing to do with it. Law wasn't hounded, he was assisted in fleeing the scene by the Pope!
After reading the book, I covered a trial of a molester priest and heard the exact same defense I'd read in the book. I approached the diocese's attorney and told him he was much more effective when advancing his own arguments rather than parroting a national strategy.
He was fuming and went off the deep end when the plaintiff's attorney said he agreed with me and asked him what was it worth to gain the whole world ...

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt, Suzi. The fact is that Bishops and Archbishops covered for these Pixies for too long, in many cases due to the fact that many were gay themselves.

Stop deluding yourself into thinking that the Lavendar Mafia does not exist within the Church. They do, and it has cost the AmChurch alot of credibility.

Perhaps what you say of the newspapers is true. But the scandal has never been about the abusers themselves. The scandal for Catholics has always been about the bishops' coverup and enabling of the situation.

My own cardinal Rigali doesn't see this and doesn't accept the bishops' own very large share of the blame. And so the scandal continues.

You are absolutely right! One cannot believe ANYTHING written in the Globe. Or the TIMES, or any number of papers. The media distorts and assists the homosexual agenda in every way possible.

Take the recent case of the young man who recently shot a cop and his friend, then himself. So much is fishy about that whole story! The first reports were that his 2 best friends are lesbians. He had gone to the now infamous "gay bar", several times with these 2 friends. They were reportedly good friends. To the point that one is led to think this young man might have been bi sexual himself.

Then the story changed, to say he went to this bar and asked "is this a gay bar". Why would he when he already knew, and had partied there before? Why, if he had the ability to kill a police officer and his now reported "girlfriend" (up until he shot her, she was just a friend) and then himself, and yet, didn't seriously injure anyone at the bar that night? when he was in very close proximity to those he injured? Why was no one he swung the hatchet on, seriously injured? Makes NO sense. Unless it was planned out as a hate crime, to further the cause.

We have seen it before, we will see it again, and I would put nothing past these rabid activists. (Remember no white supremacy group ever heard of him) And these rabid activists are right out there in the media, using this to get states to impose homosexual marriage.
Don't get me wrong, the guy was seriously ill, and filled with rage, and if he had lived, he deserved the death penalty.

In many, many cases the parents were INTIMIDATED into not pursuing charges.

Suzie, forgive me, but you don't have a clear understanding of the overwhelming appitite of child sex abusers. One pervert can easily be responsible for molesting hundreds of kids - as many as they can get away with - they will not stop themselves.

Madam Law was abetting this by moving them from church to church and hiding their crimes which amounted to abetting their crimes. He is either the stupidest man in the history of the church or he is a knowing and willing participant in helping along the molestation. He should be in jail as the leader - like a madam in a whore house - arranging the encounters. For years Law did this to children. I am shocked they took him to Rome.
