Please Pray for My Sister
myself | 2/28/2006 | Pyro7480

Posted on 02/28/2006 8:46:41 AM PST by Pyro7480

Please pray for my sister, who is 22 years old. She recently had a routine examination, and the person that was performing part of her examination became concerned when doing an examination of one of her breasts. They ordered an ultrasound for the area, and they found a mass of some sorts. My sister, who lives in Phildelphia, is going home to my parents to find a surgeon that will do a biopsy on the area.

This has been a stressful time for my family health-wise. My mom had minor surgery earlier this year, my father had his kidney removed when they found a tumor on it (which, thank God, turned out to benign), and my sister, not even 3 weeks ago, injured herself snowboarding. She has been walking with a limp ever since, while the bruising she sustained heals.

Please pray for my entire family, that we may put our trust in God, that any anxiety be minimized, and that we may bear our sufferings well.

Lord, I do pray for this family, that You would give them Your peace and grace and strength. I also pray that the biopsy for the sister will come back benign and that she will be in good health. I ask all this in Jesus' precious Name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that we can gather around Pyro's family in their time of need. Thank You for successful surgeries on Mom and Dad ... we praise You for Your loving kindness, O Lord, and for their return to health. And may it be thus with Pyro's sister as she seeks a surgeon. Guide her to the one of Your choosing, O God, and grace him with all wisdom and skill, and may it be, Merciful Father, that she will learn that all is well. Sustain this family in their hours of trial ... replace anxiety with calm assurance that they rest secure in the Palm of Your Hand. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen ...

Prayers being sent for your sister.

I had a similar situation when i was 20. I had surgery to remove the tumor, and it was benign. Given her age, the odds are pretty low that your sister has cancer.

I thought I should send you all an update on my sister. She had surgery just over two weeks ago to remove the mass (which actually turned out to be two masses), and the biopsy results indicated that they were benign. Thank you all for your prayers, and praise God for all the good things he has given to us.

I'm rejoicing with you! That is wonderful news. Prayers are lifted for her complete recovery and back to full strength.

How is your father? Is he moving along at his normal pace again?

My father is pretty much "back to normal" now. He went to church for the first time in months on Sunday, so that tells me that he is fit enough to be out among the masses again. Thanks for asking. :-)
