What the heck am I doing on this ping list?
I truly do not give a damn if someone is a homo or not.
It ain't my business.
Thanks for the ping! Shows once again why the bible is being systematically removed from the public arena. It's very uncomfortable to be confronted with one's sin, and to know that God will judge our sin.
Fortunately, we have a savior.
Ephesians 2:1-9
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Is telling a homo he's a sinner soon to be considered a Hate Crime?
List? Haven't read the article yet but will.
Amen!
It has led to arrests in Canada and Sweden. That is the ultimate goal of hate crime legislation. Oh, and remember the Philadelphia 11 who were arrested for peacefully protesting with signs that had Bible verses condemning homosexuality written on them. Some teenagers were suspended from school just recently for wearing t-shirts that said, "homosexuality is a sin."
It truly is. It's driven by the homo's along with the left. Then we've got butch hildabeast.
Do you care if your children (or other peoples' children) are taught in school - even grade school - that "gay is good", that Abraham Lincoln and other dead historical figures were gay, that they might be gay, and how to perform homosexual sex?
Do you care if "hatespeech" laws are enacted making it a crime to say anything negative about homosexuality (including letting people know that they are more likely to catch AIDS if they indulge in same sex acts)?
Homosexual acts are a sin.
Homosexual urges, like any other temptation, are not.
Since homosexual acts are often acts of passion, they might be less "evil" than other actions that are deliberate choosing of evil.
I have enough problems controlling my temptations to sin than to criticize another who gives in.
However, I do oppose the so called "Gay agenda". But the gay agenda is actually less dangerous than other agendas, such as materialism, immodesty, ignoring poor people, heterosexual promiscuity etc.
Hate any form of liberal agenda that is currently being rubbed in our childrens faces.
But where I part ways with you and Fred Phelps is when you claim that we should kill them.
Neither one of you are conservative.
And you should change your name. Ann Coulter would call you a kook.
Phelps is a kook, at best. At worst, he's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Sin is sin, no matter what the "law" says is worse. It's all the same, and we all must ask for forgivness for it. Such is calling for the death of others that do not think as you do.
Matt. 22:34 " When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together,
35 and one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him.
36 "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?"
37 He said to him, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
38 This is the greatest and first commandment.
39 And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
If you prefer the KJV;
34: But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
35: Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36: Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38: This is the first and great commandment.
39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40: On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Did CCF say that homosexuals should be killed? I must have missed that part.
Yes. But to be fair to Fred Phelps, I don't know if he is as extreme as CCF, who has advocated killing homosexuals based on Levitical law.
He never specifically mentioned a lot of things: child abuse, rape, necrophilia, bestiality, etc...
Actually did mention beastiality:
Ex 22:19 Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
Leviticus 18:23
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
Leviticus 20:15
And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
Deuteronomy 27:21
Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen
RAPE:
25But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
26But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
That was a cheap shot. CCF never said we should kill them. CCF only points out that, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold truth in unrighteousness .... " In context, there are many more things "worthy of death" than just homosexuality, " Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." (See Romans 1:18-32)
The point is about God's final judgment. Speaking the truth about the sin of homosexuality has a purpose, and that is ultimately to lead them to Christ. But at least to lead them to an understanding of God's righteousness and holiness. "The commandments of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether..." It is not to become the final arbiter of their life. That's God's job.
You can view the harsh punishment of the OT as symbolic of the eternal punishment all sinners will receive at the final judgment. All will face God's judgment of death. Some will face it with a stand in -- a substitute, Christ Jesus our Lord. God will look at them and see the inputed righteousness of Christ.
Remember how Jesus said He came to save sinners, not the righteous? Well He wasn't saying that some are righteous. He was saying that knowledge of sin is the first step towards being saved. There is no potential for saving faith without the knowledge of sin.
The final judgment of all sin is death. "The wages of sin is death." Please understand, that's what I believe is the point of this post by CCF. It is more loving to speak that truth than it is to offer all the approving sentimentality in the world, because the free Gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord begins with the knowledge of your own sin.
Jesus. I believe the charge was that Jesus never specifically mentioned those things.
No matter what, all the PRO-GAY legalization, all the brainwashing efforts, all the trying to normalize same sex acts.....
IN THE END
SAME SEX ACTS WILL ALWAYS BE A SIN
