That thing is as offensively ugly artistically as it is religiously.

Have the modern liberals ever produced a beautiful piece of art? It's always soul-less tacky crap like this over-grown windchime.

Good one, Dallas59! All: What are those two symbols on either side of the crossbar of the A(lpha)? The one looks like a hand with a stigma reaching up a lady's dress. The other looks like a dressmaker's dummy emitting nuclear radiation.

Do they actuallly represent religions? (I shudder to ask.)

Oh, AnAmericanMother-- is it permitted to pray for the intercession of Tomas de Torquemada?

Thank you for the correction as I did erroneously refer to that as an "expensive piece of art." You're right, it's art in name only.

I imagine it cost a pretty penny as my dear mother use to say.

Yeah, OK, the OM is Hindu and the Buddha is Buddhist. But I was looking underneath: the hand reaching up the dress, is that Hindu too? What does it represent? And the tailor's mannekin with the rays: is that Buddhist too?

I admit ignorance, but I don't mean to be insulting. In all sincerity, what does it symbolize?

I have a feeling that actual Hindus and Buddhists might well object to this monstrosity.

the hand up the dress is for Jainism (but the eneagram Jebbies conveniently left off the swastika portion of that symbol).

That's got me baffled as well. When you look at the hand, it appears to have a hole in it. Could that represent the wounds in Christ's hands? I don't know if that's a dress or what it is. I can't honestly tell. It looks as if it may be, then again what the heck is it?

This is evidence of the corruption of the Society of Jesus. Those in control are the Arrupe Jesuits or the Reformed Jesuits. Any resemblance between them and the Socity of Jesus of St. Ignatius is purely coincidental. They form part of the anti-church which is waging war against the Catholic Church from within.

OK. I found something for the dressmaker's mannikin emitting radiation. It turns out to be a double-edged sword in the middle, with two curved daggars on either side of it. It's a Sikh symbol. Google Khanda.

In the center, the double edged sword, or khanda, from which the symbol derives its name. The Khanda represents knowledge of divinity and the creative power of God.

Surrounding the khanda is a circular quoit, called a Chakkar (wheel) which symbolizes the unity of God.

On either side, crossed daggers, or kirpans, symbolizing spiritual and temporal (earthly) power in balance.

After Pedro Arrupe was the General of the Jesuits the Order changed focus from its past emphasis on the Glory of God and the salvation of souls and went in for the notion of social justice which usually meant left wing political structures. The Order has not been the same and has been in deep crisis especially reflected in the leadership. Two books were published on this transformation called The Reformed Jesuits published by Ignatius Press. They catalog the change in the Society.

They appear to have many religions covered here, except for the True one. Amazing, and disgusting. The only Christian symbols I can find are Protestant ones.

Eze 8:9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

Eze 8:10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. ...

...
Eze 8:13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.

Eze 8:14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which [was] toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

Eze 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt see greater abominations than these.

Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, [were] about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

2Cr 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2Cr 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

2Cr 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

2Cr 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,

Since the Second Vatican Council, the Jesuits have betrayed their founding mission (which includes a fourth oath, of obedience to the Pope) and gone completely off the rails.

There are still some good and faithful Jesuits, but the leadership is corrupted.

Unless there are unexpected changes, the Jesuit Order is heading down the tubes, and will eventually disintegrate.
