we often must vote for candidates who may hold the 'wrong' Catholic positions on some issues in order to Thank you for the that pointing out that line. I am rather new to my parish, (converted three years ago). If any of these pamphlets show up in the coming weeks I know what line to show our priest.

"Life does not end at birth," but cradle-to-grave government "welfare" (ownership) starts at birth. Maybe, if the government thinks it's a "life worth living."
Welcome to Stalin's America.

Typical crappy artwork of the dissenters, easy to spot. Beat me to it. That was my first thought when I saw the cover image.

Yep... I thought of the irony of that statement.

This "service of human dignity, social justice and the common good" is done without submission to God's will, without obedience to ALL God's commandments, without the fullness of the Faith. Man's way, not God's way. ************
Agreed. I'm not sure who this group thinks they are fooling. Only the most uncritical eye would fail to spot this.

Alexia Kelley, the inspiration behind this guide, was the creator of the www.kerrysharesourvalues.org site. Waybackmachine gives insight into the mentality of this kind of Catholicism. Here's the introduction:
John Kerry Shares Our Values
John Kerry and John Edwards are inspired by their own religious traditions and share our strong values of faith, family and community. John Kerry and John Edwards have a plan for America that puts these core values into action: valuing families, jobs with dignity, stewardship, concern for the poor, caring for the sick, feeding the hungry, respect for the environment, and just war. These are fundamental American values -- and the record is clear.
Their apparent proposition is that catholics can be democrats and achieve these lofty goals by sidestepping the Magisterium and enlisting the help of NARAL, NOW, the ACLU, the UN, Soros and Chomsky. How this works is not mentioned

Scary how so called "Catholics" can just completely side step church doctrine to suit their own political ambitions.

You've got that right. The stronger the hippie/New Age vibe in the art, the greater the dissent!

Thanks for posting this. I have forwarded this to all my Catholic friends and family, as well as my pastor. These Democrats are soulless creatures. The Republicans aren't much better, but they don't stoop to these levels. Sheesh!
