IN NO WAY am I wanting to propose a bashing of any religion.

I think we can celebrate Christ's coming to all of us.

For your comments.

This is a quietly big day for the boss-lady and me. The 'orrible brat child was baptized on 1/8/84, and the way the Episcopal Church does things the Sunday after 1/6 is "The Baptism of our Lord", so this year the date and the Catholic Holiday line up.

And what it says to me, is that we share in the work of making God's love known to all the world, and the more we try to carry out that duty the more, we can be certain, will be asked of us.

"All they from Saba shall come," but now it's time for us to go to Saba, and beyond, even to Babylon if necessary, to proclaim God's love and forgiveness to all.

Even to Democrats. Yes, I know that's hard to believe, but God's mercy, like His peace, passeth all understanding ...

Paul VI said it well: "Others may be able to be saved without hearing the Gospel, but can we be saved if we neglect to preach it?"

I love the above quote. I've never seen it before. Thanks for my first Catholic ping, I know I'm going to enjoy it.

"...for the worship of God..."

Fair rabbi. Deluded would-be king of Israel. Yet despite the antisemitic gospels, Jesus really did "rise again" as the inspiration of a faith through which America was founded. And that's no small thing.
