Does God close his ears six days a week?

Of course not. Don't be ridiculous. (Bronson Pinchot quote)

Oh, yeah, check this out:

Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day [alike]. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

It says "one man" esteemeth, it doesn't say "God doest not esteemeth one day above another". Also, "let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind" sounds a little like:

Phi 2:12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;
Phi 2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

Since this thread is about the Christian's world view it is obvious that you have a Sabbath centered world view. As the bald teacher on Amazing Facts said years ago, "You are saved by grace IF you keep the Sabbath.

Doug Batchelor also doesn't think that any of the 12 or Jesus drank wine, but that wine the the Bible actually means grape juice. This guy also doesn't think anyone ate meat until Noah got off the boat. Just because we all keep the Sabbath, doesn't mean we all speak for each other. Imagine if that were true among you "deis solis" observers.

These days the word Christian has more socio-political meaning than spiritual meaning.

That is why I specificly mentioned this verse. (I know what it means) Our sabbath rest is in Christ so WE are in a perpetual Sabbath everyday because we are in CHRIST. WE have entered into HIS rest and have ceased from our own works as God did from his.

The next verse:

Heb 4:11 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Why is the author of Hebrews instructing Christians to "labor" to enter into this rest? I think it's because the "rest" that's being referred to is the rest that we'll have when we've overcome and become eternal:

By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God, 6 who will repay everyone according to his works: 3 7 eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works, 8 but wrath and fury to those who selfishly disobey the truth and obey wickedness. 9 Yes, affliction and distress will come upon every human being who does evil, Jew first and then Greek. 10 But there will be glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, Jew first and then Greek.

I always found this passage of Romans to be as interesting as any other.

Joh 5:28 "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,
Joh 5:29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
