I wasn't aware the Lord ever left the Holy Land, let alone make it to Rome! All along I thought that He imparted His teachings to the world, paid the price for our sin, and established His Church through the Holy Spirit's empowerment of the disciples at Pentecost! After that, I thought those same disciples spread the Gospel throughout the world, penned many Holy Spirit-inspired letters of which a few survived, were authenticated by representatives of many congregations, and accepted as canon - all before the existence of the Roman Catholic Church! Thanks for enlightening me!
"Thanks for enlightening me!"
Not a problem - always glad to help. When He founded His Church on Peter, He didn't tell him to write a book, did He!
"I wasn't aware the Lord ever left the Holy Land, let alone make it to Rome!"
That has nothing to do with it. He did not need to go to Rome. The Catholic Church has existed since the beginning, historically. "to become deep in history is to become Catholic".
Well, actually....
All "Christian" religions came from people who did not like what the Catholic church taught. Think about it....
Not quite. You should check your facts.
