Thanks for the links.

I don’t think much of Dave Hunt.

Willow Creek is not the horror some assert.

Seeker sensitive in and of itself is not UnBiblical.

Nevertheless, I’m most comfortable with a fiercely brazenly Biblical Pentecostal perspective. But one balanced and sane and full of God’s CURRENT ANOINTING. I don’t like phoney hoopla.

Well, I think Dave Hunt does a good job, actually. I first became familiar with him back in the 1980s with his book The Seduction of Chrsitianity. It has been proven true, with the passage of time. And I went to a church in Vancouver, Washington where Dave Hunt was speaking, one time, about Islam and what it really was about. He’s not afraid to speak about these kinds of issues — whether it’s in the church or outside of the church. So, I appreciate him in that regard.

When you talk about Saddleback, Willow Creek, Seeker Sensitive, it’s more relevent in terms of the spread of history, and looking back to where things have come from and where they are going to — currently. And so, more recently, it seems we can see that more clearly, today — than we could ever see it before — especially with the Emergent Church movement.

So, while I might grant that some things “aren’t so bad” (in one sense) — it’s bad when we see the “slide” over a longer period of time. What many are doing is taking a “snapshot” of where things are now — measuring it against themselves and the culture around them — and saying, “That’s not so bad...” But, when one takes a look at a longer period of time, analyzes the trends and sees where the church is going in these various movements, then it becomes alarming.

You said also — “Nevertheless, I’m most comfortable with a fiercely brazenly Biblical Pentecostal perspective.”

Ahhh..., just like some of my relatives in the little town of Antlers, OK — some real Pentecostals there. I’ve been to their church a few times, when visiting. I like their solid belief in the Word of God, but it’s sometimes hard to get down to doctrinal issues with them. And overall, the Pentecostal movement hasn’t been well-known for scholarship in Biblical matters. That’s my opinion and some others. But, they are good Bible-believers, that’s for sure...
