Luther was just as hard in his criticism of his fellow Germans who didn’t believe. Easy to overlook the entire context of his criticisms.
I don’t think you want to start pointing fingers at other religions and how they have treated the Jews. The Catholic church was horrible to the Jews for a lot longer than any other christian church body.
Well, I only meant to point out that, when the Brits want to kill someone, “Irish” seems to be the fallback reason.
It is simply irrelevant, to the topic, you could start a thread explaining why the majority of the SS and Hitler were Catholics and your church never excommunicated them.

From what I remember the Pope had his order out on Luther. But also the Emperor drew up his own orders as well, so that both the religious leaders and the secular leaders could go after him. He was an enemy of the church and an enemy of the state and declared so by both.
Are you saying the Emperor was told by the Pope to draw up orders? I had thought he did that all by himself (although I am sure he figured the pope would be approving of it).
Hitler was not a Catholic, nor were those SS men.
You also apparently know nothing of latae sententiae excommunication.

Oh, and more importantly, it is exactly on point to the topic you mentioned. You claimed the Church prescribed horrible things for Luther because of his beliefs, and I showed you where Luther himself prescribed horrible things for Jews because of their beliefs.
