Now, I know that someday I am going to come to what some people will say is the end of this life. They will probably put me in a box and roll me right down here in front of the church, and some people will gather around, and a few people will cry. But I have told them not to do that because I dont want them to cry. I want them to begin the service with the Doxology and end with the Hallelujah chorus, because I am not going to be there, and I am not going to be dead. I will be more alive than I have ever been in my life, and I will be looking down upon you poor people who are still in the land of dying and have not yet joined me in the land of the living. And I will be alive forevermore, in greater health and vitality and joy than ever, ever, I or anyone has known before.

Another of the saints has gone to his real home.
Enjoy your reward, dear pastor
Kennedy is now singing in that Heavenly Choir celebrating at the feet of The Master.
Thanks for posting. He was a true man of God, and I pray that his family is comforted knowing he is with our Lord.
He will be greatly missed by Christians throughout the world.
Bet he’s not resting, though! Jumping, leaping, laughing, hugging the Lord, crying with joy...but not resting! :-D
I always enjoyed listening to this guy speak: clear, intelligent, and no wackoness.
A Godly man who will be remember fondly for his love for the Lord and his passion from the Lord for unbelievers. I like how he wanted his services - start with the doxology and end with the Hallelujah chorus. Wonderful. He is now in the presence of the Lord. How glorious.
“To live is Christ to die is gain”. May Dr. Kennedy enjoy that gain for eternity. Prayers to his family.
I am sure he heard “Well Done Good and Faithful Servant.”
D. James Kennedy: Calvinst in Life; Calvinist in Glory
Wow.
RIP, Mr. Kennedy. Amazing quote.
Dr. Kennedy has always been one of my favorites. What a joy to know he has finally gone home and stands in the presence of His Creator enjoying the beatific vision.
Indeed, this is a nation that was founded by men and women who were Christian. Some were not. But even those who were not embraced the Christian world and life view that was almost universally prevalent at the time and according to the dictates of the Word of God. -- "God and Country" sermonWe hear today that this is a pluralistic nation and that it is not a Christian nation. But Christianity itself, general Christianity, was conceived as the support of all our government...
It was always a joy to watch him on TV.Yah'shua is coming for the rest of us sooner than we think.
shalom b'shem Yah'shua
Truly a great man and a great comment. This is not the end of our life but the beginning. He has now found the perfection that our souls long for and someday we’ll join him around the throne.
That sermon was electrifying to me the first time I heard it. I couldn't believe a preacher was preaching like that. I loved it. D. James Kennedy opened my eyes to American History.
He had a wonderful, scholarly style that was bold, but not pretentious, delivered with a great wry sense of humor, and a twinkle in his eye. I will miss him.
Cordially,
Prayers to his family and those that followed his word. I never heard of him, but seemed from the reading that he was a true follower of his religion.
I’m sorry to hear this...I know he’d worked many years for the Lord, but it’s still sad to see someone of this magnitude pass.
