From the Pre-1970 Mass for the Dead:
For the intention of all those who were killed on 11 September 2001, and all those who have given their lives in the war against radical Islam, especially members of the Allied forces.
Absolve, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the souls of Thy servants, that they who are dead to the world, may live to Thee; and wipe away by Thy most merciful forgiveness whatever sins they may have committed in life through human frailty. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

Thank you!!!! When I prayed my Rosary later on 9/11, I asked Mary to take the souls of each one murdered into her mantle and take them safely to Jesus.
Give these true holy martyrs, those who died on September 11th, 2001, O Lord, eternal rest, and those dear ones who were left behind confort and peace. Amen
Thank you for posting this thread.
Did it teach us anything?
With God’s grace, let us hope so...
Amen
