Why does Moscow hate the idea though? St. Tikhon recognized the Church as independent in 1920.
Am I just not understanding what makes an “independent” church different from an autonomous one?
I think the MP just doesn’t like the idea of regions breaking away from it’s traditional leadership. I can’t blame them for that it itself.
