“I have in 21 years performed more than 70,000 exorcisms.”
Wow, and he hasn’t even met Hillary Clinton yet.

Hilary would be a test case for this priest. :)

“This is because, says the priest, the devil is abroad in the Vatican.”
Great holiness always attracts great and powerful demons; the greater the holiness, the more powerful and dangerous the demons. This is readily apparent to those whom the Evil One has not succeeded in convincing he doesn’t exist.

"Interview translated from German" And, judging by the headline, BADLY translated. The fact that Satan's gremlins are causing mischief does NOT translate into "Satanic sects in the Vatican" (though I suspect that, these days, many suspect that the Jesuits qualify).

The vatican needs to send exorcists to anywhere there are scientologists. Holding onto a pair of tin cans attached to an E-meter and pouring out ones fears and foibles to a fellow human being doesnt work the same as a true confession in the name of Jesus. Being 'clear' isn't the same as being forgiven for ones sins and having a 'cleared conscience' due to the graces of Jesus.
Pity the poor fools who pay good money: millions and millions (Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Gretta Van Sustern) to be pronounced 'clear'. The only way they can truly be 'clear' is to pray for forgiveness, repent and do penance of their sins.
Demons can be expelled and deleted in the name of Christ - not in the name of Elron Hubbard.

"The vatican needs to send exorcists to anywhere there are scientologists." Agreed, but I always thought that the person has to want his freedom.

I really did not see how the Nativity movie conflicted with my Catholic values and beliefs and I have read what more conservative Catholic writers had to say on it.

This is because, says the priest, the devil is abroad in the Vatican. Lucifer is a man's name I would think.

Nope. Its the frustration level that drives her to extremes.

Lucifer is a man's name I would think. Well, if they had more broads maybe they would let the little kids alone.

The guy in the tombs didn’t want his freedom, and Jesus cleaned that boy out!
Neither did the kid that was continually being thrown into the fire.
The Bible instructs us to cast demons out. It doesn’t give us requirements as far as I know- just to do it.

Billary is in need of severe spiritual intervention. The drug culture is part and parcel of spiritual dark forces influencing the human soul.
Newsrooms, congressional offices, and institutions of higher education could all use an in-house exorcist.

You cast out demons in the name of Jesus. His name does the trick . Some are harder to do than others - it's a time thing. A lot of grief is due to the wanton roaming of bad spirits but not in the same sense of the Scientology narrative. Some spirits refuse to leave and take years to banish. But it's all done in the name of Jesus since he is the head honcho of the spirit world and is the chief law enforcement officer of the great beyond.
All this is written in various places - some in the bible, some in writings of the great exorcists.
Families are haunted for generations by the same spirits. The latest pope has written about the loss of understanding and loss of acknowledgement of the 'spiritual world'. B16 has hit the nail on the head. "Modern' secularists can't grasp anything they can't hear, see, smell or touch. Nevermind that dogs can see in the infra-red, raptors can see in the ultra-violet and any outdoor animal has a superior sense of smell to indoor human noses.
The world of the spirit is largely ignored by all since they dont see any of its direct influence. Thank the lord there are still those who know evil when they see it and know what to do about it...

Sounds like...
Mat 12:43 "Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it.
Mat 12:44 "Then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came'; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order.
Mat 12:45 "Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation."
The question to ponder is why is the house empty? What makes it so attractive to demons?
To: DouglasKC
Well if this was said by christ then it was before his peace was given to the world upon his resurrection. The peace of christ is the spiritual "invisible" umbrella that protects us from all things spiritual - good bad or indifferent. It is his peace that prevents unclean spirits from re-entering the well swept house....He gave us the power to reject or accept all things spiritual. He gave us freedom of choice.

He gave us freedom of choice I would say that's a correct assessment. Those who have their houses filled by Christ, by his holy spirit, won't have to depend on exorcists to rid them of demons. There's no room for them.
