ROMAN CATHOLICISM: A DIFFERENT GOSPEL

ROMAN CATHOLICISM: A DIFFERENT GOSPEL

In their lust for unity the Emergent Church and post-evangelical “Protestants” are right now embracing the Roman Catholic Church as another Christian denomination. But the issue is simple: If, as taught the Church of Rome, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without “the new birth in baptism” then we are now in hopeless contradiction with the Gospel contained in Holy Scripture.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8)

Speaking The Truth In Love

Let me make this as clear as I possibly can for the Roman Catholics who may read this work in Christ from Apprising Ministries. I personally am former member of the Church of Rome and care very deeply about those, such as the majority of my own family line, who are trapped in this apostate man-made system of religion known as Roman Catholicism. I also fully realize that what I say may sound “unloving” and possibly even “harsh.” However, there is just nothing that I can do about that. By not telling the Truth we aren’t doing anyone a service.

One reason for Luther to oppose a council was that he didn’t want to be, like Arius, outmanned at a council.

Of course it had nothing to do with the fact he didn't have any trust whatsoever in those who proposed a council and promised him "safe conduct"?

Hosepipe.....that hose must have damaged your brain because you can’t think clearly!! There is DIRECT LINE!! Just admit it that you belong to a BREAKAWAY or else TRACE YOUR DENOMINATION and see who started it because it was started by a mere man....not a SAINT like Peter is.

John 3:5 - Jesus answered: Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Operative word is "AGAIN"......amniotic fluid is the FIRST BIRTH WATER.

Just as I am not compelled in anyway to obey the laws of the great state of Maine as I am a Floridian, Eastern Orthodox are not bound to the canons of the Catholic Church. Most all churches have a set of canons. Some pertain to clergy others to lay people some to both. But they are not binding on anyone but members of that Church.
Plus do you honestly think given the number of CINO’s who thumb their noses at the canons with little or no discipline the Church is gonna mount up a possee and go after Non Catholics for breach of canon law?

Sadly it is too often that Bishops forget that not only do you keep the wolves from the flock. You kick their asses out if they do get in the pasture.

[ understand, then, then you may disavow the Protestant label (and that’s your right) but I’d imagine your theology is closer to that of the Reformation than, say, the Catholic or Orthodox Churches you attend. ]

I am protesting nothing.. I feel the denominations including RCC and EO and others are right where they should be self sorted by various qualia and other quales into sheep pens(John ch 10).. And the flock is free to go in and come out.. So Im not protesting them they are where they are supposed to be.. Its quite wonderful really according to me.. A beautiful plan quite logical..

The protestant are sometimes chafed by me as well.. Sheep pens hold groupies.. They are uneasy with those not of "the Group".. as are ugh others..

Geez, that seems to plausible.

Interesting. Sorry if I’m being a pain but I’m genuinely curious. When you think of “the Church” what do you think of? People regenerated in Christ scattered across all different (man-made) denominations?

I am clearly not using the Church Fathers as Scripture, but rather for historical practices.

They certainly do leave a record of their views.

Does your denomination consider itself to be an inheritor of the Church A.D. 33? If so, how do you reconcile a current belief that baptism is not necessary with the teaching and practice of the Church from the very earliest years after the death of Christ?

We study Scripture.

We believe baptism is one of two ordinances the LORD left us. The other being the Lord's Supper. We do not believe they impart Grace. We believe Grace is imparted to us by Faith.

Actially according to John ch10, the FLOCK are those that come OUT of the Sheep Pens..and follow the shepards voice.. The Sheep in the Sheep pens are indeed sheep by not of the flock.. The flock follows the shepard.. but they are still sheep.. Why the pens?.. Probably to keep the bleating down.. the sheep in the pens "feel" safe (when they are not) but they feel safe.. Works for me.. The Holy Spirit is obviously no dummy..

THE CHURCH OF ROME AND ISLAM WORSHIP THE SAME GOD"

Unfortunately, the Catholic Church teaches that the Muslim God is the same as the God of Christians. (It's in the current Catechism). IT IS NOT THE SAME GOD. Not meaning to yell, but the angel told Mohammed that he was to destroy all of the 360 temples in Mecca (one for each day of the week) except for one--the temple to the Moon god, Allah. Allah is a pagan god--and is NOT the same as that of the Jews and Christians.

Hmmmm. I don’t see pens mentioned anywhere in John 10 actually. There’s one pen with a gate on it Our Lord is leading people out of.

I’m not sure your analogy holds.
