Anyone who worships anything other than God is misguided. This includes Protestants that worship money, power, TV or what have-you. The Magisterial teaching of the Catholic Church tells us we are to worship God alone.

The magicsterical itself has been rife for centuries with 1,001 encouragements to even WORSHIP THE MAGICSTERICAL!
They have certainly done a miserable job of policing the ‘non-worship’ clause . . . evidently because there’s more money and control in the 1,000’s of other documents and poems and songs encouraging folks to do just that—blasphemously worship Mary.
Every church has its idols. You’re right. People who put anything else before God has made an idol of it, but because we are human, it happens in EVERY church, even RC’s. You have to continually fight against it.
