If this guy started from the same place and ended up an evangelical Protestant, you'd call it a "great testimony" and the "work of the Holy Spirit".

But because he ended up a Catholic priest, you think it's the result of a book and a psychological disorder.

That's just really sad.

I don’t think so.

I’ve noted that ATTACHMENT DISORDER slices across all our various reference group identities.

And, it is often a root of many good and not so good life choices and affiliations.

I’ve said such things many times.

The difference, of course, is that a Protestant would say it was by God's grace through the Holy Scriptures that he came to know his salvation was by Christ alone.

As we read, this priest says his enlightenment came from a book on Mary.

That's like comparing the encyclopedia to Grimm's fairy tales.
