If that’s supposed to be a warning that
another
abuse-button-sitting-marathon
has been scheduled and begun . . .
I’ll consider myself warned.
I have no idea what you’re asserting.
Feel free to spell it out.
You asked how shameful it is and then said it is human. My response is, just because it is human, doesn’t make it shameful and fallen.
And to correct my typo: “Just because it is human, does not make it any less shameful and fallen.” Apologies for the mistype in my statement.
Getting toooo convoluted for me or else I’m tired.
Let’s start over with my slight editing of your paragraph:
While I disagree with them, I find many of the RC’s [I haven’t done a statistical survey and analysis] on this forum as principled Christians, who while evidently not having and persistently demonstrating the Fullness of the Faith as taught by Christ, are still evidently of Christ and imperfectly members of the Body of Christ. Then, there are others (I wont name them, lest I have to ping them).
###########
I suppose the exception would be that I wouldn’t KNOW whom to name. I don’t read hearts unless God shows them to me and He doesn’t show me whole hearts . . . that I can recall . . . but mere corners here and there and that not overly frequently.
I can go by behaviors, appearances and observations . . . but, those, are, at best . . . close approximations to heart attitudes etc.
What are you talking about? Do you remember what you responded to? It was this.....
>>It gives the people like Bill OReilly the fodder to call us haters.
Its a bait, bait, bait, other side defends, other side called nasty names for doing it.
Just another day with our Brothers and Sisters in Christ or so they call each other but never us.<<
I never mentioned Protestants, just the baiters.
So is that you?
No. I don’t post baiting threads. Virtually all my even fierce posts are RESPONSES to RC bating things. Even any thread I’d start that could be perceived as baiting would be in response to an outrageous RC post or thread.
But it was reasonable for me to construe the comment as directed at Prottys.
Or are you trying to tell us you were really talking about Muslims???
Netmilsmom: Honestly, I want people to consider some things before becoming Catholic.
xzins : Of course you don’t. You’re an RC
Ooooooo, everyone get your tin-foil hats on, there is a MIND reader on this thread.
Boogie, boogie, boogie.
Did you catch the rest of the post? If you are like this, we don’t want you.
The phrase is Actions speak louder than words. Without getting a debate about Salvation, St. James’ epistle, does emphasize the importance of works in demonstrating faith. Thus, one can see where someone is, based on their actions. Witness a priest or minister who tells his congregation one thing, while carrying on an elicit affair with someone. If that were known, it certainly impacts the view of the messenger.
If you’re looking for jihad, I think you’ve already found it. LOL!
Actually, I’ll step in for xzins here. Alien invaders attacked his keyboard, see #205. I had the same response.
I directed it at anyone who baits on threads. Mostly those who come onto threads and bait.
Do we have many Muslims here that do that? Somehow I can’t imagine them coming onto a thread about Mary to slam Doctrine, so.......
Seeing how every other post appears to be from me, I am checking out. That’s a sign that I am getting obsessive.
Ooooo, missed that!
Well the tin-foil may still help either way.
Good night FRiend! Dad just got out Jelly Beans and I think it’s time to cozy up to him!
A clue is when the topic frequently changes from whatever it was to the individual in question.
Amen, you have nailed it with every word. So very true.
Precisely. I'd encourage any couple to reflect before getting married. I'd ask any young kid to think long and hard before enlisting in or accepting a commission in the military. Yet both those decisions are usually good things.
You just don't make a major decision impulsively. If, after looking at the facts, you think Catholicism is best, then more power to you. For me, I've got too many disagreements with Catholicism to ever convert - but it is a true Church which God has clearly worked through.
I also am quite assured that all things work together for the good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8)
To God be the glory!
Yup. This means that as things like birth control, cloning and such are devised, that we will know precisely how God intends us to address those issues. I note that the Protestant churches are ordaining women and practicing queers these days, Biblical teachings to the contrary.
"Your outline is pure humanism, in case it isn't obvious to you. With that line of thinking, men can (and have) insert whatever heresies and blasphemies and ludicrous doctrines they please. The Bible, being the inerrant word of God, is self-authenticating by the Holy Spirit. Nothing needs to be added to it in order for men with ears to hear and eyes to see to know that salvation is by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
Balderdash.
"As for the rest of your post, all it says is "you don't understand the Catholic church.""
Which happens to be true. You see, I was once as deluded as you are, but I spent the time to study the Protestant vs Catholic positions on the issues, and simply put, Protestantism is so egregiously wrong as to be ridiculous. I spent two years of study on "Catholicism vs Protestantism", and I quickly found out who was slinging BS and who was telling the truth (hint, the BS slingers weren't Catholic).
But I'll terminate this with two quotes. One from "The X Files", and one from Scripture.
"The Truth is Out There."
"Seek and Ye Shall Find."
