Myers did it

Yes, the sad little cracker has met its undignified end, so stop pestering me. The cracker, the koran, and another surprise entry have been violated and are gone. You'll have to wait until tomorrow for the details, what little of them there are. I must quickly apologize to all you good Catholics who were hoping to attend Mass, since you can't anymore — I have been told many hundreds of times now that cracker abuse violates your right to practice your religion. I guess you'll have to adapt. Secular humanism is a good alternative, if you aren't already flocking to join the Mormons.

Anyway, I've got important things to do today. It's my oldest son's birthday, and I told him that as a gift to me him, I'd take myself him to see The Dark Knight. I sure hope the world doesn't end before the movie does

Why is everyone bothering about it? He’s an idiot. Let him do what he wants..it won’t affect my faith nor yours. He’s here today gone tomorrow with his pitiful 15 minutes of fame. That’s it!!!

That guess isn't a leap if you've read any of my posting history.

I don't "know" you, but I'm curious . . .

No, I'm not.[Catholic]

Why are you commenting on this thread? What concern is this of yours? Do you find the concern of Catholics for one of their sacred rites amusing?

Just wondering . . .

"So, would you suggest we stop cross-burnings, noose-hangings, and church and synagogue vandalism?"

All actions which cause direct harm to people and their property, well within the Biblical charge to rulers to punish evil and protect their citizens.

"I disagree that hate-crime legislation is 'idiocy' as you so describe it; I say it cuts both ways; I say we use it."

My mistake in assuming the average poster on a conservative forum would be opposed to hate-crimes legislation. In my book, it's nothing more than an attempt to police thought and protect certain classes of people.

"Your name sounds familiar. Were you in the Fidonet Echoes at one time?"

Nope, I don't even know what that is.

"Where did I advocate violence?"

You haven't, that I've seen, but some of the other RCs in this thread (and previous ones) are.

If conservatives are going to stand against the thought-policing idiocy of "hate crimes" legislation, we can't use it when it suits us.

I completely disagree. By using it (or attempting to) "when it suits us," we make perfectly plain the inherent hypocrisy that's involved. The best way to stand against that "thought-policing idiocy" is precisely to demand that it be applied equally.

No, but I do find angry fulminating and empty threats that play directly into this guy's hands very depressing.

I have other things to do, folks. I've said my piece. I'll leave you to go on talking about curb-stomping Mr. Myers now.

Exactly. Poor guy, he must be miserable, I’m glad I’m not his son.

I’m pretty sure that there are some FR Catholic haters who love this guy and his actions and just wish they had the guts to do it.

As others have said, I’d like him to publicly desecrate the Koran, or maybe not, I wouldn’t like to see what might happen to him on TV.

I’m glad I’m not his son.

I was thinking the same thing. If he treats a group of people (Catholics) who he doesn't know with such disdain, imagine what he does to family members.

The Catholic haters often give away their own lack of comprehension and then turn around and tell Catholics what the Bible REALLY says.

Look, here’s my take.

Take the advice from the ranchers out West: Shoot, Shovel, Shutup...

No point in discussing it here, or arguing with anyone.

Just get her done.

You know what, PZ, no thanks. If being a secular humanist means being a miserable male genital appendage such as yourself, I’ll stay right where I am. I frankly find far less difference to tell between the likes of you and the likes of Fred Phelps than either of you would probably be comfortable with.

No, you only implicitly claimed authority equal to His.

The only question remains is: "Which word do you not understand...implicitly, claimed, authority or equal?"
