Sheesh, there’s so much here I don’t know where to start. So I’ll look at it again in the morning. I love the woman at the well though, she’s my favorite (see my homepage). I was once taught that the women of the villages would get their water in the early morning because it was still cool, and that to wait till later would have made it a miserable task because of the heat.
Because they all went in the morning though, that’s when the women would do their shallow backstabbing, cliquey, gossipy typical-chick stuff, so the reason she was there at noon was to avoid them. She didn’t fit in, and it’s reasonable to assume that putting up with the heat was easier than putting up with THEM.
I’ve wondered what her name was. Comforting story to those of us who feel like the oddball at times.
Prayers up for fellow Freepers in need. Quix, you’ve quickly become the “Freerepublic pastor!”
Thanks for your kind words.
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD.
I haven’t gotten round to all of it yet either. But I felt it important enough to go ahead and get out there.
