From the Herald-Ledger (Kentucky), the story of a woman "to be ordained a priest." Of course, she isn't. But, hey, that's only because the Catholic Church says so, which ignores her fantasies, emotions, and ideological convictions:
As a young girl growing up in Milwaukee, Janice Sevre-Duszynska often fantasized about becoming a priest ...
Id sit in the priests chair, go to the pulpit, make believe I was preaching and giving communion, she said. I thought, Why couldnt I be up here? ...
In 1998, she disrupted the ordination of a Lexington priest at the Cathedral of Christ the King by pleading with then-Bishop J. Kendrick Williams to ordain her as well. In 2000, she impersonated a reporter to attend an annual meeting of Catholic bishops in Washington, D.C., where she grabbed the microphone and again called for the ordination of women. And in 2002, she was arrested as part of a group protesting ordination of deacons by the Catholic Diocese of Atlanta. ...
But Sevre-Duszynska, who will be ordained at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington, does not fear excommunication. She expects it. Im really waiting for that parchment from Rome, she said. ...
My heroes as priests are on the fringes ... they need to challenge the government and the Vatican, Sevre-Duszynska said.
Sevre-Duszynska began her preparation for the priesthood 10 years ago with night classes at Lexington Theological Seminary. She is working to complete her doctor of ministry with Global Ministries University, based in California. ...
She sees herself as an itinerant priest, not a parish priest. ...
Well, it's nice to see it's all about Christ and the Church and not about her. That's a relief. In the meantime, she might want to learn a bit more about Church doctrine, history, theology, and canon law. No one wants an ignorant priestette pretending to be an itinerant priest who does not want to be a parish priest.
Janice Sevre-Duszynska, is co-chair of the Ministry of Irritation of the Women's Ordination Conference, the oldest and largest organization working for ordination of a renewed priestly ministry in the Catholic Church. From teaching ESL to children from around the world she says she learned about the value of nonviolence. A local and national peace activist, she is a former Prisoner of Conscience for the School of the Americas Watch. She recently completed a Christian Peacemakers Team delegation into the Sonora Desert of Mexico and Tucson in solidarity with Mexican migrants as part of the Migrant Trail Walk. She writes essays, poetry, and plays, rides horses, keeps a lovely English cottage garden and enjoys being a Busia (grandmother) to her grandchildren and aunt to her nieces and nephews. email: rhythmsofthedance@msn.com
I thought every women was involved in the ministry of Irritation...
And where was serving God in her make believe? Apparently it's all about her.
Ministry of Irritation?? Ha, how appropriate!
She is so full of pride and her behavior is that of a spoiled child who cannot accept the word NO.
Such fantasies for a male priest wannabe pretty much demonstrate inaptitude for the priesthood.
The Unitarians just gave them house room to have their little pretend game.
Another Unitarian minister has already been chastised by the Moderator or whatever the Unitarian national leadership calls itself, for lending her church building to the "womynpriests" for the same thing a few weeks ago.
When you manage to get the Unitarians to rebuke you, you know you're doing something very, very wrong.
LOL - you owe me a new keyboard!!!
Sorry, Jesus only chose men as his Apostles, unless of course you are saying Jesus was wrong.
Either you’ve replied to the wrong poster, or your skivvies have shrunk.
The UUC “ordained” three Moonbats in the South End of Boston. When will they hold a Pig Roast for Muslim women Imams, now that they speak with authority for other Religions?
A thousand pardons. It was directed at the woman in question.
Be very afraid.
From Rush's list of 35 Undeniable Truths:
#24......Feminism was established to allow unattractive liberal women easier access to the mainstream of society.

I'm not a Catholic, but aren't Priests supposed to be Celibate?
I guess the rules only apply to men.
Perhaps this Burger Queen and her ilk will install drive-through windows for her “have-it-your-way” adherents who are in a hurry to consume the unhealthy and unbelieveable whoppers she is marketing. I am sure she sort of slips in some nasty ingredients when people aren’t paying attention hoping they won’t notice.
She could serve her whoppers on the same bread made of whole wheat, flax, whole oat, honey and raisins that she use for her faux “communion”.
Like the other 'priestesses', she will pull in the confused and disconsolate Catholics who have been led astray by their bishops. This is truly tragic. As Catholics, we need to pray for the conversion of souls such as hers and those bishops who have contributed to the confusion of so many.
