I have joyous news tempered by some unfortunate diagnostic information.
My wife, the luscious Rambette, is carrying our fourth child, due sometime around February 15th. The problem is she's now been to the emergency room twice for spotting. Both times turned out to be no danger of a miscarriage, but we were told there may be some separation of the placenta. That means that it can be expected to either resolve itself, or it could conceivably get worse and result in miscarriage.
We are trusting God and we covet your prayers for full healing and a safe, healthy delivery.
Prayers for a successful pregnancy and a beautiful, healthy little Siverback...
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered him.. Psalm 107:20

Oh Lord, it would be so much easier if we believed this “fetus” was only a blob of tissue — without value - without humanity. It would be less painful — and this family’s pain at what they might be facing could easily be resolved, and they could simply carry on with the children You have already given to them.
But of course, we know a different truth. This child’s life is in Your hands, as all of our lives are at this moment. It is true that You give, and You take away. Our faith is strong, and it is real. We ask, on behalf of our unknown FR friends, that you accomplish Your purposes through this tiny life, for whatever reason You have allowed these unforseen complications.
Of course, we want this child to grow and thrive, and we ask for You to work Your healing miracle — one that many of us have witnessed You can do. But whatever You do, Lord — bring all of us into a deeper understand of Your abounding love and grace, no matter what the outcome is.
I lift up this hurting family to You — as You and only You are the Great Physician — the Only One to whom they can turn for the deepest sense of peace and comfort.
They belong to you — as does their sweet & tiny little one inside its Momma’s womb — and we trust Your heart for them, even when we cannot and do not always understand Your ways.
Praying for your little one.

And I offer you some practical advice as well, be sure that your wife avoids the following:
Cheeses (risk of Listeria):
* Brie
* Camembert
* Feta
* Roquefort
* Ricotta
* Queso Fresco (and other Mexican cheeses)
Raw Meats and Seafood including sushi - all uncooked and rare meats and seafood (Listeria & Salmonella)
Deli meats, Smoked Seafood & Hot Dogs - (Listeria)
Raw Eggs - (Salmonella)
Fish - Shark, Swordfish, King Mackerel & Tilefish (Mercury)
Liver - (High levels of Vitamin A)
Unpasteurized Milk & Juices - (Salmonella)
Unwashed Vegetables - (Toxoplasmosis)
Also, avoid:
*Licorice* - it isn’t generally known but licorice is a source of estrogen which can provoke miscarriage.
*Caffeine* - definitely go ‘decaf’
*Blood Thinners* - aspirin for sure
*Ginkgo Biloba* - this can definitely cause spot bleeding

First off.... congratulations!!! How wonderful, a new baby!
My daughter had placenta problems with both her pregnancies, and yet I still have 2 wonderful grandkids. I know it is worrisome, but He has a plan for this wonderful gift to you. I will be praying.
Heavenly Father, we pray that you keep Rambette & Mr. Silverback’s precious child safe and allow this child to continue to grow to full term. Please bring comfort to our Freeper friends. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
