Many priests had come to accept the specious arguments of Planned Parenthood. so that many were getting coozy with the organization. Freely available contraceptives would negate the need for abortion? But human nature will no more accept the totalitarianism than underlying Sanger’s socialism than it will Christian morality. The discipline of birth control is as unacceptable as other restraints. The availability of the pill makes the woman take far more risks than she otherwise would, resulting inevitably in an abortion.
