A couple of days ago I sent the following email to everyone that I know.

Dear friends,
I hope this email finds you all well.
For many years I have been interested in studying biblical prophesy along with the prophesies of the saints and the writings of scholars of prophesy. There are many people who are not at ease with this topic and do not want to hear anything about it. Many people put these things out of their mind, as something that will happen after they are long gone, and refuse to look at the many signs that are present today; also many Church leaders are very (too!) worried about human respect. It is unfortunate that there are a great number of people and cults today, such as the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormans, that misuse prophesy for there own interests and attention; this misuse of prophesy causes many to reject all prophetical studies.
Recently I found an article on the Internet (http://www.margheritadigesu.it/pagine/microchip.html) that coincided exactly with what I had discovered in my studies. I translated the article into English (attached; http://markbeast.blogspot.com) but my translation is not yet posted on the website: http://www.margheritadigesu.it/index.html. The article is based on the private revelations of a woman in Italy, Margaret of Jesus. I also recently put a summary of my studies on the Internet “The Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (http://markbeast.blogspot.com) which is also attached.
It is no secret that the world economy is in pretty bad shape. Recently my bank, Washington Mutual, where I had some money, went down.
If you feel that this is all crazy and that I am totally nuts, I would still urge you to print out a hard copy of these two articles, even if you do not read them now, so that when it all does happen, you will be able to read these articles to have an idea of what is going on, as well as to be able to make the decision that you must make. When it does happen very suddenly, in the confusion, most likely there will not be electricity for some time.
Please communicate this information to everyone you can before it is too late. DO NOT TAKE THE MICROCHIP!!! DO NOT EVER DENY your loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, even if you have to die of starvation!

Having a microchip installed when not rejecting Christ is not taking the sign of the beast.
When that time comes, the Prophet of the Anti-Christ will not allow you to take the sign of the beast unless you reject Christ.

I suppose I should read it ... just to monitor the noise level. I never cease to be amazed at the hogwash some folks pass off as "biblical prophecy".
Read up on it. They are already doing it. The two princes in England are reportedly chipped. There is a Cincinnati company that has chipped its employees. A Florida family was the first family in America to volunteer to be chipped. It is happening. Don’t be so dismissive.
I guess we’ll know for sure if Obamassiah is the anti-christ if he unveals a brilliant economic plan to solve the current global financial meltdown and introduces a new one-world currency (tongue only slightly in cheek).
I’m not too worried. The “end” spoken of in the Scriptures came almost 2,000 years ago.
On a side note, you might get a better response if you would proofread before posting. Poor grammar and spelling is distracting.

Was it the “Bible” part, or the “prophecy” part or the “studying” part that got you?
I mean, I’ve been doing all three — since I was in high school and it’s been very enlightening over the years (that is the “study”, the “Bible” and the “prophecy” part [since the Bible contains about 25% or more dealing with prophecy]).
I may not agree with whatever the poster says, but that doesn’t mean I have a problem with “study”, “Bible” or “prophecy”....
I don't have a problem with it either. Some folks have a problem distinguishing their paranoid delusions from "biblical prophecy".

Oh no..., people, now we’ve got a preterist on board...
This will just add to the confusion that drives people crazy when talking about Bible prophecy. It’s too bad the preterists are so far off base that they end up confusing everyone else. I think preterists are sent by the Devil (even if preterists do think they are doing God’s work) — in order to confuse everyone so much that they don’t want to look at Bible prophecy any more... LOL..

The Mark could be delivered via microchip. I’m thinking, too, it could be a biometric scan of the eye or a fingerprint—or something not yet in use.
Also, it’s not the technology that is bad, it’s the system that will be employing it. That system will ask you to deny Christ.
You don’t have to actually have a chip inside your body. You can be identified and tracked via the GPS chip that is in your cell phone.
Unless you want to live like some muslim out on the sand and desert, you need this stuff.

So does that “Microchip” take over what is already in the mind? I do not think so. Not that I advocate the insertion of a “Microchip”, but it is NOT the mark of the beast.

Not that being Catholic is relevant to this subject, and I have NO clue what Catholics of any stripes believe, and it does not matter what your http: site claims. Those that receive that 'mark' do so willingly, they do not know what the mark is.... now if a supernatural being shows upon this earth how would you know who that entity was. The 'mark' is about counting over a very long period of time..... how many know how to count that number???
The 'mark' is accepted because of lack of knowledge as to what literally the 'mark' is, and who will willingly accept and receive it. It is what you believe and who you believe, not a literal object that is visible.
The Antichrist will be extremely intelligent, charismatic, and everything else. “all the world [wonders] after the Beast” (Rev 13:3-4). It is not Obama. I do not believe that the Antichrist has revealed himself yet.
Regarding the false prophet, it is interesting that St. Hildegard (d. 1179) wrote that when the new Pope is elected immediately before the Antichrist, a cardinal will kill the Pope before he is crowned through jealousy, he wishing to be Pope himself. Then when the other cardinals elect the next Pope this cardinal will proclaim himself (anti) Pope, and two-thirds of the Christians will go with him. She notes that this Antipope as well as the Antichrist are descended from the tribe of Dan. If this private revelation of St. Hildegard turns out to be true, is it possible that this Antipope might be the False Prophet predicted in the book of Revelation (Rev 16:13; 19:20; 20:10; ch. 13 etc.) who will work hand in hand with the first “beast”, the antichrist, to subdue the world? That’s not the point of this stupid article and you know that. This article is warning people not to “accidentally” take the mark of beast.
The fact that we can imbed a chip into the right hand of a human being that can control whether we can buy or sell should be used as evidence that the prophecies in Revelations are correct and accurate.
But instead we get this paranoid screed about how this technology “is” the mark of the beast.
The truth is this is likely the technology that will be used by the prophet of the antichrist to provide the mark of the beast, but the technology in and of itself is not the mark of the beast.
We should be proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ rather than freaking out and acting like paranoid louts simply because prophecy is being fulfilled... like we claimed we believed anyway.
The fallicy in your argument is that 2/3 of christians are NOT CATHOLIC..so the Pope has no meaning to us, other than the head of Catholic Church. We pray to Jesus directly, and we do not accept anyone else, and we do not pray to Mary. Our faith is a direct faith, so an Antichrist being a Pope would not affect us...it has to be a political leader who has a ‘PROPHET’, who is religious based...in fact a Pope could not control the computers, buying an selling or preside over a one world gov’t.
