2 Thessalonians 3:13
You have not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind. Therefore, we purpose in our hearts and minds to refuse fear and timidity and walk in our place as sons of the Most High, covered by the shadow of Your wings. Satan, we will NOT be weary in well doing! We will not ever quit proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We pray for President Bush today, thanking You for eight years of a leader who acknowledges You as the only true God and Jesus, his Savior. We are so very grateful for that. Give him renewed strength day by day and bless all that he sets his hand to. We trust You to show him how he can prepare us as a nation for the days to come. Surround him with godly counsel and wisdom. Thank You, Father, for the Secret Service agents assigned to him and the members of their families. We pray for their protection and their salvation. Provide doors of utterance for Your Word in each one’s life and enlighten the eyes of their understanding so that they can receive Your amazing grace.
Thank You, Champion, for the victories our troops have won. While we grieve for each one lost, we realize that the number is so much smaller than it might have been. For each saved by Your hand, we glorify You. We pray for those servants who are called to minister to the spiritual lives of each member of our military. Give them the courage to never be weary in well-doing and give them the right words to say to each precious one who needs to receive some aspect of Your salvation—eternal life, peace, mental or physical health, restoration of family, employment or freedom from fears.
Your children are united in asking You for healing for our land. We have fasted and prayed and humbled ourselves before You. Although we don’t understand the election’s outcome, we know that You reward those who diligently seek You and we trust Your never-failing Word.
Help us to glorify You in our lives as we lift Jesus higher. We pray in His name. Amen.

We know soon You are going to pour out Your Spirit for one last time before the end, and it will be against the backdrop of the darkness of this world that we see even now coming. We can be encouraged that we will participate in one of the greatest harvests of all. This is joy!
Father, encourage and protect our President. Give him comfort as he prepares to leave and comfort Laura in Jesus name.
