Why don’t these gays go to the Metropolitan Community Church? It’s a gay friendly denomination. Rather than trying to make established churches adhere to politically correct positions, why don’t they just go to their own home church, which welcomes them as they are???????

Because at the root of all of this, it is NOT a 'civil rights' issue. It is a FREEDOM OF RELIGION issue. Think about it. If the states/federal government passes a law/s that 'gives' homosexuals 'equal rights' including the right to marry, what happens to those religions that find homosexuality is a sin and against God's laws? They would be required BY LAW to go against their own values, morals and ethics. For example, if a Catholic church with true Bible-believing principles was asked by a gay 'couple' to perform a Bible-based wedding ceremony in their church, and the priest or whoever is in charge denied them based on their religious principles, what would happen to that priest and that church?

Because their goal is not to find a welcoming religious community, but to destroy all existing ones. MCC was the merely the simmering frog pot--and it worked, didn't it? Even normal folks now think of it as "the church for gays" and not what it really is: another salvo in the great war against God.
