So here is my Prophecy Food for Thought for today.. If Revelation 8 happened this year 2008

Revelation 8 - The First Four TrumpetsSince heaven is a place of constant praise and worship to God (Revelation 4:8-11 ) silence for about half an hour....Silence for a half hour might be the Sun being quiet (No sunspots)

If GOD sends a deception to people it might be the End of the World prophecy of the Maya Calendar which ends in 2012 12/21/2012 or it could be the rapture mid-point which does give 2015 some credibility.

Have you ever considered writing a commentary on Revelation or something? You have a touch that is simply.... masterful when interpreting these texts. I have never seen anything quite like it.

God pronounces curses upon those who practice divination and fortune telling. How must He feel when would=be teachers use His Word as a ouija board, a tool for divination — in order to discourage His people?

You are saying the 2nd rapture is in 2022

2nd rapture? Folks are having a hard enough time keeping one rapture straight and now they are talking about a 2nd one? Where did this 2nd rapture come from?

SCRIPTURE

says it will be the worst time than ever has been or ever will be.

Doesn’t sound like a cake-walk to me regardless of who’s experiencing it.

That is a bit unfair, after all the Bible teaches that we have free will and in his incarnate form at the time Jesus said that to His audience, he had made Himself a little lower than the Angels and did not have ‘all of time’ vision to call upon, so He was being honest in that state of His being.

Oh I don't think so... Jesus said He didn't know the day. The author of the post said he/she did. Therefore he/she must know more than Jesus. What I find humorous is that the argument was based upon something that Jesus "didn't" say... not what He did... even though the assertion being made makes Jesus out to be a liar. Who is being unfair? Even you suggest that Jesus didn't have all His marbles while He was here on earth. Oh.... and whats this about Jesus being honest when He said "x"??? was there ever a time that He wasn't honest??? State of Being??? come on! "THE DAY" is THE ONLY THING Jesus ever said He was not knowledgeable of. I find your arguments even more presumptive than the 1st one!

You lost me entirely, starting with the 2012 and 2008 dates. Are you saying that the Tribulation's going to last five years or ten years?

Want this?

HP, in the calculator heyday, made an RPN handheld for that, that was way faster than the standard algebraic rapture predictor.

“Cheshvan 17, 5769 (Nov. 15, 2008) is on Saturday, the Sabbath. It looks like we will go to Shabbatai (Saturn, the 3rd Heaven; II Cor. 12:2, and the 7th planet) on Shabbat (the 7th day).”

Based on what Scripture says regarding the Sabbath, the day G*d rested, I would think that the event would occur on another day.

Please show me where the tribulation period is 7 years. Revelation has no 7 year period only 3.5 years. In your reference in Matt 24 Christ said that no stone would stand of the temple so something must happen for the last of the wall to fall so until that time I would not get my bowls in a uproar or and underwear in a wringer.

Please read the material before making incorrect conclusions. Marilyn has only suggested a date. Why then did Jesus say I have told you "all things" When His life among humankind was over Jesus said in the Revelation of Jesus the Christ was complete and prophecy has ceased.

Truthfully, Jesus is sitting on the throne of peace and He shall come again. Marilyn knows more than any ten phonies that seek books etc,,,. She has never claimed in this material that she's anything more than an old women working her butt off to save souls. Alex, it's intellectual laziness, but don't flame me if you won't read the post. FReepers don't whine until they have taken the time to study the material and articles posted first.

Perhaps, but I strongly suspect Marilyn doesn't know Deuteronomy 18:20-22.

When His life among humankind was over Jesus said in the Revelation of Jesus the Christ was complete and prophecy has ceased.

Are you saying that Jesus has changed the standards, and prophecy doesn't need to have a 1.000 batting average anymore?

So what? Where does this proclivity to suggest dates come from? Certainly it does not come from the Word of God. Jesus never told His disciples to go about suggesting dates for His return. The only alternative is to believe in secret knowledge where God allegedly speaks things to just some people. Then when they do not come true and miss the mark badly, we hear, “Oh well, it was only a suggestion. No harm no foul.” It gets to be like the little boy who cried wolf. No one takes it seriously and, in actuality, it’s a form of blasphemy that defames the Name of Christ.

Folly you say, I am sure they were saying the same thing in Noah’s day.

That could be. However, that is something we don't know for certain - just as no one, period, knows the day and hour that Jesus will return to raise the dead. My point, if you have not caught it, is that it is folly to debate dates when He returns.

ITA—Can’t help but think God looks down on all this speculation and interpretation and chuckles a bit. The ultimate ‘mystery’ conceived by the creator of all time and space, and some feeble humans think they can ‘figure it all out.’ I mean, He loves us, but you know this has got to be entertaining to watch for Him.

Hey—Christians...He loves you...He’s coming back to get us someday. How and when He does it really isn’t what we’re supposed to be about. I believe Jesus told us what true religion is, and it’s not ‘figuring out the second coming mystery.’ I believe His words were “caring for orphans and widows in their affliction.” Let’s do that, okay?

AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

I meant 7 yrs not 5.

But any’ways I am going to post a Vanity Post on the return of Jesus and I would like to hear what you have to say about it.
