Exactly. There is no way to avoid it unless we completely isolate ourselves. It's simply impossible, as it has invaded every part of our culture. It's on TV, in movies, on billboards, at the mall, and on the street. I find it to be offensive, and I don't have young or teenage children.

Footnote: I was at a mall today with my daughter. In one store we walked by a trinket (in a store targeting youth) with the following statement on it: “I love my penis.”

I hoped she didn’t see it, but I’m sure she did. No one can convince me that such a thing would have been in a store even 10 years ago, much less when I was her age.
