Lord, I know that we deserve Your wrath. We have murdered the innocents for over 40 years. A whole generation has fallen to the abortionist's tools. And for that alone we deserve to be destroyed. How could we? Yet, it falls on deaf ears.
Homosexual activists seem to be taking over and dictating national policy. For this too, we must be judged. But, know, it is not the opinion of the majority, only their apathy that allows it. Bring a change of heart to this nation. Undo what has been done through our media and our schools concerning this lifestyle which you have called an abomination.
Concerning our economy - we have made Mammon our great love for decades - and have been willing to sell our country to the highest bidder for some time. We must be judged for this as well. You made us stewards of the greatest country on earth - and our selfishness and greed are destroying it. Cause America to come to our senses before it is too late.
And concerning Israel, that great apple of Your eye, we have thus far lukewarmly supported her. I was happy to hear we are going to ship her arms - this is something only the courageous would do given world opinion. However, her support will likely come to an end under Obama. Know this. Even if our government is against her, those who are called by Your name are not - for we know her significance in Your eyes. We want to be for what You are for and against what You are against - and so we pray, that those of us who did not count our relationship with this tiny country as nothing so as to elect a extreme socialist to the highest office in the land, for those of us who tried to keep a pro-abortion pro-homosexual lifestyle liberal from the White House - we pray for us, that you will not lay the sin of this country to our charge.
Lord, change our country. Bring her back to You. If possible, save her President-Elect's soul that he may have an ear to hear You and a heart that desires to do what pleases You. And in Your sovereignty, undo what our foolish country has done- for Your name's sake, for the unborn's sake, for Israel's sake, for our sake. Let it be done.
And it is in the name of Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior that I pray these things, bless Free Republic, Amen.

He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."

Understanding that black liberation theology is Marxism dressed up to look like Christianity helps explain why there is no conflict between Cone's "Christianity" and Farrakhan's "Nation of Islam." They are two prophets in the same philosophical (Marxist) pod, merely using different religions as backdrops for their black-power aims.

Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

In the days when the Superpowers were locked in a Cold War, Latin America seethed with revolution, and millions lived behind an iron curtain, a group of theologians concocted a novel idea within the history of Christianity. They proposed to combine the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Marx as a way of justifying violent revolution to overthrow the economics of capitalism.
The Gospels were re-rendered not as doctrine impacting on the human soul but rather as windows into the historical dialectic of class struggle. These "liberation theologians" saw every biblical criticism of the rich as a mandate to expropriate the expropriating owners of capital, and every expression of compassion for the poor as a call for an uprising by the proletarian class of peasants and workers.

It is indicative of the same sort of acquiesence and tolerance by well-wishing Republicans of evil practices by Democrats, the media and others trying to destroy this country. I don't wish them well at this point.
This forum doesn't have to 'fair' (as in fairness doctrine). These people don't need to be prayed for - they need to be stopped. Really! I'm offended by this.

Thanks for the quote. But Obmanation and his strange rise to power represents many unusual things and forces, and I for one will not take him at face value. However, our nation is composed of many men and women. I will pray for our nation and that God will rise somewhere, somehow to Christian-based leadership from the depths of despair of its people.
I don’t care what anybody says, I’m praying for the newly founded Office of President Elect, with deep concern for it once its current occupant is graduated. Who is then going to watch and take care of the Office of President Elect, huh? Lettuce pray!
This is not what Christ commands me to do. If you do not wish to do it, that is your contract with God. The prayer thread has the blessing of JimRob and it will continue. He understands the purpose of it. You and the people who shoot at the hip before actually reading the contents of the prayer do not.
