I have no trouble trusting in Jesus. God also gave me a brain so I could use it.
It’s a nice story, but I wouldn’t read too much into it.

Self ping to read again and to remind me to look for The Chaplet of Divine Mercy on streaming EWTN.

**The time happened to be 3 o’clock, known as the Hour of Great Mercy, when Jesus died on the cross. Fred would consider that detail the following day as he was preparing to die.**
This sent shivers through my entire body!

Thank you for posting the information on praying the Divine Mercy. The following is from St. Faustina's diary.
3 o'clock Prayers - Their Power
I remind you, My daughter, that as often as you hear the clock strike the third hour, immerse yourself completely in My mercy, adoring and glorifying it; invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners; for at that moment mercy was opened wide for every soul. In this hour you can obtain everything for yourself and for others for the asking; it was the hour of grace for the whole world - mercy triumphed over justice. My daughter, try your best to make the Stations of the Cross in this hour, provided that your duties permit it; and if you are not able to make the Stations of the Cross, then at least step into the chapel for a moment and adore, in the Blessed Sacrament, My Heart, which is full of mercy; and should you be unable to step into the chapel, immerse yourself in prayer there where you happen to be, if only for a very brief instant. I claim veneration for My mercy from every creature, but above all from you, since it is to you that I have given the most profound understanding of this mystery. (1572) |

Cute story, but it does have a twinge of numerology. As you may recall, our Lord died at 3 o'clock on that Friday afternoon. It has always been considered the hour of mercy.

Great story for a man who had to trust God and asked God for mercy! I love the divine mercy prayer. The basics is meditating on the passion and asking for mercy not only for ourselves but on the whole world. Considering the world’s economy and having the dems in charge with Obama,we have a great need for this pray for mercy for all of us. There are also other Christians who pray this prayer, divine mercy chaplet, and other Catholic prayers. I would say that anyone on that plane who prayed was blessed with good fruit, mercful God. Miracle even the secularists are saying it!!!

For those of us who know of the divine mercy devotion in prayer and song know of it’s fruits. Because we have been blessed by them in some wonderful ways. Our brain also leads us to sinful ways as well. It is the calling of the holy spirit that leads us to prayer and praise.

I am a religious Christian but I have a hard time believing god had anything to do with the plane landing. It’s just the human propensity to try to impute meaning on meaningless events.

As you may recall, our Lord died at 3 o'clock on that Friday afternoon. It has always been considered the hour of mercy. Lots of things happen at 3:00 pm. BTW, was it 3:00 pm on the East coast or 3:00 pm where Jesus would have been at that time of day? I personally don't believe there is a particular "hour of mercy". It seems to be much more a "tradition" rather than a Biblical truth.
That Jesus Christ died at 3:00 pm may have some Biblical significance, one can hardly conclude that its part of the reason no one died in the controlled crash. I am a Christian and believe completely in basic tenets of the Christian faith.

Thanks for the wonderful Testimonial to the Chaplet and the promise offered in the power of real prayer!
