500/600 years ago most people couldnt even READ..
It was those that read it to them that was burnt at the stake..

You’re right. And that in no way disproves anything I said. Most people can read today - and yet about half of them don’t believe Jesus is divine.

No, again, no one was ever burned at the stake for reading the Bible since reading the Bible was not a crime. Reading the Bible aloud was not a crime either.
